Anyone else ever hear of the Tumbleweed hauntings? It's the perfect way to get back into RDR for the Halloween season.

I have spent 500 hours into the game and I haven't seen anything, really anything, eerie in or around Tumbleweed!

 

I would like to see a video proof of this:

 

 

When standing in the main entrance to the mansion on the far side of tumbleweed, if you change the camera angle slightly sideways, a full white figure walks past. sometimes it just strolls past but other times it moves with its head back and its arms waving like a zombie.

 

I know that it's listed under rumors, but what's the source of it?

 

In any case, I think these myths and haunting rumors add more atmosphere into the game, and it gives different areas their own nature and feel. For example, when you read the story about Tumbleweed haunting in the local paper during the story, you find yourself excited to visit the place and explore it, and you feel the depth of the world. Even GTA SA still feels interesting when you explore the eerie parts of its world.

Most of those rumors do seem to be utter bullsh*t. The devil's face in the church is just a random pattern on one of the windows, wouldn't even be there if you weren't looking for it. A lot of the things listed there also seem to be things that you'd expect to happen in a video game anyway, like the cow skull hanging itself up after you shoot it down and leave the room, or the one where you shoot open the door, spin the camera around, and the door closes.

That being said, thank heavens I own a 360. I'm buying a used copy of this tomorrow. Been itching to give this game another go.

Yeah that is one of the reasons I bought a PS3 instead of a gaming PC. It gives me great pleasure to know that PC fanboys will never be able to experience this wonderful journey. I make fun of most of my friends who are PC gamers that they can never be able to play it.

I think people who play on PC have bigger things to be concerned about than not being able to play one game, when there are countless other games on PC that are far better than Red Dead. So I'm pretty sure none of your PC playing friends actually give a sh*t. And if we really wanted to play Red Dead, we could just go and buy a £200 Xbox 360, so I' m not sure how you've come to the conclusion that people who primarily play on PC will never be able to experience this 'wonderful journey'. I've played and completed Red Dead on my Xbox, and there is seriously nothing you are missing if you play on PC.

This game was released like what, two years ago? And yet till this day my mom thinks the game has the best graphics on Xbox 360 like ever. Red Dead Redemption is one of the greatest gaming experiences I ever had. The story of John Marshton is a ride you'll never forget.

 

I just wish I wasn't that late on the multiplayer scene, it's really enjoyable.

I did everything, but I'm missing the $1000 from gambling scrap. In other saves what I've done is play Liar's Dice with the Light's Camera Action stranger mission and earn $400 profit per play, but apparently my brother did the task.

 

Any quick, easy ways? Poker, including high-stakes poker is out of the question. I lost $500 on poker in armadillo if that tells you how bad I am at the game.

Are you good at Five Finger Filet?

If Yes. then play that mini-game at either Armadillo or Torquemada, bet max amount of money every time and eventually you'll be able to bet $100 and higher, the profit for winning goes from $125 to $250 if a full roster of opponents is present, it is easy to earn a thousand in less than 15 tries (it's short, don't worry) once you get the rhythm.

it's worth it, not for more than it's original price though, and definitely not for $15,000 imo, that's way too much considering you won't be able to even skin animals you kill with it.

Yes. High Honour or The Savvy Merchant Outfit.

But he has the lowest possible honour, so the first isn't really an option for him, i'm not sure if he has the outfit or not though.

Can anyone please help me get the multiplayer trophies? I am trying to achieve the platinum trophy. The trophies I will need help with are mostly the ones that involve Poker, Liar's Dice etc.

I don't know how to play any of these games, it was by pure luck that I managed a 100% completion.
