Characters look normal, John seem to walk like a normal person, I always liked western setting, characters seem interesting, story seems like it's going to be a blast, weapons look awesome etc. Also no radio stations means no disappointment there. And I don't see how Rockstar can fail with ambient music.

Normal people? I'm sorry but you're just being blind for what RDR truly is and what GTAIV truly was. GTAIV had normal characters and also (annoyingly) absurd characters. And as far as I know RDR will have the same thing. I already spotted enough absurd looking and oddly behaving characters throughout the numerous trailers.

 

Why do people hate so much on GTAIV? It's a great game, even brilliant if you're a fanboy.

 

Still want this for PC... free roaming online with actual missions and gangfights possible sounds too damn awesome!

You don't understand. I think characters in RDR look like real people. In GTA4 they all looked like caricatures with big noses and round eyes and bad hair. So I'm talking about their physical appearance.

Will there be a stats page in the pause menu like in GTA IV? I'm just wondering about the 100% statistic really, and whether there will be a specific list of things to do to complete it.

 

Also, are there kids in this game? I remember reading about them in early previews but have heard nothing since.

How did GTA4 get a 10 from anyone is beyond me

The game bored me to death from story to gameplay and even radio stations. Euphoria was the only thing that was interesting for a while.

IV is a piece of art.

What was so artistic bout GTA4? Boring story that I had absolutely no interest in, the caricature character models, the sluggish Niko walk and his idiotic accent (I should know I speak Serbian), boring radio stations, boring peds that couldn't compare to those in San Andreas, people calling you every 10 minutes to go out, boring tollbooths, boring hand to hand combat system, ugly clothing, small amount of weapons? Or maybe it was the graphics? Let's not fool ourselves, Rockstar failed with GTA4. I didn't play those expansions yet, but I guess they can't possibly be as bad as GTA4. And just so you know, I'm comparing GTA4 with previous GTA games.

They took all the things that made GTA fun and put their "realism" bullsh*t instead. Some realism where you can blind-fire with a rocket launcher from cover.

They're saying the side quests aren't as deep as they could be, so if you go exploring, the scenery will be great but you're not going to find anything to interact with that is as interesting as the main story. Of course, that's opinion and certainly some people will love all side quests and odd jobs.

I read it and understood it, and although there's a lot to do in the environment, it doesn't have much value in the way we've come to expect from a game like Fallout 3. This is disappointing because the Mexican revolution and playing the two sides off against each othe would have made a great side quest, and as the other article says that part holds the story up.

I pre-ordered this game off Amazon in february. Cant wait much longer for it!
