I wanna go hunting with you guys when it comes out. But my internet can barely handle downloading stuff off Xbox Live most of the time (sh*tty ISP), so it's probably a no-go for me.

I'm the same. I downgraded my internet because I never play online anymore. I just tested it the other day (after the GTAIV update that fixed BDB on PS3) and it seemed to do okay, but still... I want perfection if RDR is as good as it looks. Don't want to go all laggy if a wolf tries to bite my ass off.

Why is it that an increasing number of games these days release the PC version later than the console versions? I remember this happening with Assassin's Creed II as well.

 

The only thing I can think of is that the RAGE engine is so advanced that the PC version needs more tweaking than the 360/PS3 port.

Dont know man, and dont want to investigate , but this game rocks ! I hope (if they gonna) when they release for PC by any chance , They take this portin as serious thing cuz GTA IV had 5 patches and some of my friends still has issues

Pretty big odds that more than 8 of us are all online at the same time, which obviously not everyone will want to play online but I'm more than sure if there's more than 8 online who want to play together it might get a little tricky on how we put groups together?

Well I'm excited about MP on Red Dead Redemption. It looks like it's setting new standards for future GTAs

 

One question though, where should I pre-order it? I don't know which is better: the assassin outfit that increases dead eye regeneration faster, the golden guns that give out more fame for each kill, or the rare war horse that's faster and more resistive to damage...

 

will any of the three items be released later on or obtainable later in the game?

You won't have to walk up to a match to play. It's just like IV's Party mode, you can piss around in there until you want to play a match.

 

But you can select a team deathmatch/other modes straight away without having to touch the lobby with RDR's form of IV's phone.

Aren't those gang hideout missions like totally spontaneous? So I imagine if you're not in the posse, you can still see the shootout, and just kill anybody you want. Even if you're in the posse, you can kill other posse members.
