HA HA HA Whats so funny? Do you have guinea pig tickles your dick or something? Not everybody is great in PC's as "you". At OP, runs benchmark and see whats the GPU usage is. If its 100%, you could be carefull or lower some settings wich you not bothered.

This is commonly called the fire tetrahedron. Fire cannot exist without all of these elements being in place. You wrong again...

TruXter
I keep mine at 80% So i do not run my machine hours on end at full stress point. Works wonderfully. all these retards crank their stuff up to max and or beyond then blame the game because it's an "option". Somehow they figure That because they can not see how software can break hardware that it will never happen. It's quite amateur to think that way. and a bit costly. plus you get spuratic performance when you max because one minute it's at it's limitations, the next it's not. if you set the margin then it maxes at what you set it and tht is far below it's capabilities, so any drop from there is so little you will not see or feel it at all. For everything you overclock, there is a balanced part that will take a hit. Underclocking is the cheapest buy. Buying new parts is your safest bet. Alvaerus2008
Dear friends, I'm the motherf*cker that starts with the first sarcastic post, for some reason (that is really killing me) I think I am the one and only guilty of all this terrible bullsh*t. I´m writing this totally ashamed and just need to apologize to every one and all the members and administrators of the fabolous GTAFORUMS. Please accept my apologies. I LOVE YOU ALL, (snarf...!) P.S.: The performance of my videocard is really lower now, I believe the "100" attributed to the -percentvidmem command is the cause of its slow and painfull destruction. P.S. 2: I'm not from here, so my english could suck like a real smelly sh*t... Later!! YEAHH!
GTA_XP
Is it just not easy to help someone instead this being stupid? Here is the full supoort what means the parameters: http://support.take2games.com/cgi-bin/take...li=&p_topview=1 -percentvidmem: Percentage of video memory to make available to GTA If you set it 50 or lower the game runs slow but uses less GPU. ron123
Fine. The commandline is not OC the hardware and just break it. what it does is to change the way your hardware working with this game. normally hardware in stock speeds should be stable and have the ability to run in 100% for long time, the chance to damage your hardware just with a demanding softwares (like games) is very low. when you overheat a chip in stock speeds, it may cause it to performe badly or not work at all, and still the right thing to do is to give it time, no risk of damaging it. any moderm new chip should work at least few good years before it loses its quality. I can even say that an average chip can handle at least 5-10 years. so chill out.

Ron123, you are so fuc**ng rude but you have cheek to make complain-thread about not-very-nice personal messages you receive...what's wrong with you? he does it everywhere it gets on my nerves. But yeah. In some cases using this commandline will increase performance, but unfortunately I never really got a boost. It won't make your GPU burn out or whatever since all the command line is saying to GTA4 is "hey, make sure you use up all this vram!". indeed.
