Uh I hope you are not going to leave the steeringwheel on the wrong side :S

To be fair its an easy mistake to make as i didnt have interior blueprints for the car I just went off visual memory from my own Celica GT-Four.. which is JDM and right hand drive tounge.gif as bam sed, Import! lol

Bump, A Lil update... Selika is almost ready to go into the game smile.gif

 

Although you may not neccassarily notice the visual differences since the last pics i hosted, The car has now been solidified beneath the panels & bumpers:

Things still left to do:

- Exhaust system

- centre prop shaft

- Engine

- Damage model

- Change the position for the driver from RHD to LHD

 

Then she's done!! This is the most detailed car in this mod so far tounge.gif (I wonder why.... catspider.gif )

Sorry fella's, but this is worth a bump.

 

Been working on this car since bowt 3pm this evening, Tis now 8pm over here and she's pretty much finished..

Turbo can be seen just below the cooling vent on the bonnet, just like a Real GT-4 tounge.gif

 

Since the last post I have:

 

- Created centre propshaft

- Created 3d exhaust system

- Created fully 3d Engine with manifolds & 3D Turbo, Boost pipes also link up with those coming from the front mount intercooler.

- Converted the vehicle from RHD to LHD

- Added Celica Dial setup

 

I am mentally exhausted lol.. However I am pleased to say this vehicle only has the Damage model remaining, then she is ready for the game tounge.gif

@txd that was the whole approach, I could have gone all out on detail but it wouldnt have fitted in with the other cars smile.gif

 

I am pleased to say I plan to finish this car tommorrow as i only need to get the damage model's made and then put the car into the game wink.gif

Bump.

 

Made a start on the Selika today, Decided to finish off the engine before I continued with the car, here is the result:

Now added:

 

- Ht leads

- Distributor

- Cam cover text

 

Now I finished tarting up my engne bay, I took my attention to area's which werent finished, and foolishly I completely missed out the un-textured rims, However this has now been sorted and I am pleased to say will be colour choosable ingame as the vehicles secondary colour:

Gotta go to a car show tonite however so although I may end up getting the vehicle ingame she's still gna need tweakin before I wna show her.. so this might b delayed lol tounge.gif

How long have you been using Max for to make such cool models? Were there any tutorials that really helped, or was it just time and practice that were really the best things to learn?

Anyway, having a few teething troubles with the Selika, but ingame shots are coming soon.

Map progress, got the tunnel which links Barlow and the maindrag together:

Only problem im having is with the Water.dat, I have imported the file into max and modified it keeping to the original standard (keeping positions to hole numbers and using 2 tri's per square and making nothing but square objects and keeping them all lining up) And i have to say it works smile.gif until you reach a certain piece of map on barlow which happens to be the tunnel exit.. the game crash's..

 

Everything else is fine, If i change to the old water.dat i can drive anywhere i like, just not through the tunnel because its flooded XD

 

Help would be appreciated on this matter as it is really bugging me now lol

Looks clean !

 

Some crits:

The ceilling texture looks lq and repetitive compared to the other ones and some are missed but I'm sure you already saw that.

 

Keep up the good work and I'm glad that you turned off enb.

Progress! started on the multi-story carpark situated where the police hall ball used to be on the lowered land section, I havent added any fancy lighting yet and this isnt the finished product by far, but heres what I have:

@ Bam, If i can get it to work.. than yes, if not.. well thats why i put the staircase in tounge.gif

 

Progress on the multi-story.. Finished the 12 floor setup and added a roof to the staircase:
