devil.gif Lol, this is pathetic!

File on Securom site now updated, its date 03.02.2009 when previous was dated 21.01.2009, also size 2kb different... the new updated launcher at securom site now asking again for DVD ((

So dont bother to download it from Securom site, use mirrors made by guys here, its still official and it will save your legal dvd from scratching and will save your ass from standing up and going each time u want play GTA 4 to shelve with your disks)) devil.gif

is anyone able to disable vsync with this nodvd launcher? Cause Vsync is disabled in the menu but its still active.

(i have a gtx280 and if vsync is diabled i can hear a little noise^^) I ask because with vsync my game needs to much time to launch...

and thats angry if i have to wait 2 minutes for playing IV

turned it off in the control panel JKM? in manage 3d global settings, near bottom? force off

forgot to say or you can use the program setup one for that program...

or in the commandline.txt that you can create, put in same folder as your GTAIV.exe

-novblank

if that don't work confused.gif

I set the value to "force by program" in the control panel.

And yes i am using a commandline.txt with -novblank

edit: ah ok get it :>

For me the commanline.txt isnt needed anymore... I just created a shortcut and entered the code at the end of the path^^

Here is the link again: http://www.securom.com/support/customers/r...LaunchGTAIV.zip

PS: I don't encourage using illegal copies of the game. I bought mine for $49.99 at Best Buy and it literally took me 5 days to figure out how to make it work properly. This launcher was sent to me by Securom staff and is hosted on their own website to help people that had issues running the game. If you have moral issues launching the game without the original CD, don't use it, but don't condemn those who pass along the information to help others who experienced the same issues (Read this post: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=394866) launching the game.

It seems you are now famous. Every video game site that is running this story about InSecuROM releasing a No CD Crack for GTA IV is mentioning GTAForums member Loel biggrin.gif .

Lolel, just a suggestion. Maybe you should compile all the mirrors and put it in your first post?

Just for the convenience of the other members?

Did you download it from the SecuROM website? If so, download from one of the mirrors. The SecuROM website no longer offers the no-cd version of the launcher.

perhaps this will usher in a new era of games that are sold w/o the need for the cd in the drive, as securom has finally realised how irrelevant they themselves are

... a man can dream can't he

I'm sure it's perfectly legal, the point is it's perfectly STUPID.

I mean, it's FANTASTIC for us to be able to bypass their security that R* paid for, but what a frakkin DUMB-ASS move by secuROM ... and what a frakkin joke this whole game is that giving away the house is the only move left.

Maybe they should learn how to write proper software.

R*: "we do not support "NoDisc" cracks of any kind."

It looks like SecuROM made a mistake, so I'm gonna have to lock this. Sorry folks.
