Good camp spots

So, is there any good spots where i can kill cops without worrying them to get too close to me? Like allyway where is only one way in or something. It would be cool if there are something i can get behind for cover.

I always choose roofs. As the cops come up the ladder just one shot and they will fall off. Choose a roof with big vents to take cover behind so it makes it easier to stay away from chopper fire.

 

As for alleyways, Algonquin has the best for taking on the cops.

2. get let out of the same hospital and go left to the intersection...to your left in front of you should be a low building with a billboard on it...use the dumpster to get to the roof of the building....and face the hospital. crouch and shoot from below/behind the billboard. tons of fun. this is where i used the rocket launcher to get the achievement for blowing up 10 vehicles in 10 seconds.

 

anyway...those 2 are fun...you can just get killed and do em all over again...and again....and again.

Opposite what is supposed to be the United Nations building in Algonquin, is a roof Niko used for a sniper mission. You can get up their on the window cleaner's lift, and make a good siege there for quite a while.

Got to be on any building opposite a police station. I usually fly in with a chopper and plenty of sniper bullets!

I know that there is a hotel somewhere that tends to be an ideal interior area for a standoff, as well as that office building buy the freeway. I also remember a building under construction in a bad neighborhood, you could get up on top and the crane as well. The place provided okay cover for sniper fire, and you are just barely in range from enemy fire usually. Of course there are also the oil platform buildings, I have a fun time shoving cops back down the stairs when they chase me. Also, I found a huge apartment complex going up what seemed to be dozens of stories. I got up to the top and then looked down the stairs to find about half of the LCPD force about five floors below running up with shotguns and pistols!

The hospital in Algonquin near Playboy X's house. You can climb some stairs until you reach the top (be ready to climb a lot xD). Then, just start shooting for the cops down there, you'll start to get some wanted level and they'll start to climb the stairs to the roof. Then it's just kill, kill and kill. It's even easy to take down the choppers, because they're on the same level as the roof. Just shoot the pilot or, if you like explosions, a good RPG is always good. Have fun up there, it's a nice place for "cop murdering" xD.

 

Just don't let them get off the stairs! Once I got distracted by two choppers and in no time 5 cops were already on the roof, surrounding me. I had to climb to one ventilator, or whatever that thing is called, and take them out when they used the vertical stair. I almost died.

Star Junction Burger Shot

 

I had a pile of 170 cops/NOOSE at the entrance. I nearly ran out of ammo. I had about 5 rounds left on my Shot gun. Then I noticed I had killed all the cops, so I bolted out he door and jumped into a NOOSE Cruiser as I got in I see 2 NOOSE Patriots coming from behind. I floor it, thinking im going to get away, but I end up being shot in the face by a damn cop. The good thing is that I ran him over.

castle drive, southwest Algonquin. there's a low wall next to the road, near the water. as long as you stay near the middle of that wall, cops won't go around it. just duck behind it. you last very long.

On top of the RON station, there's a ladder around the back and train-tracks above, so no choppers can shoot at you.

You can usually empty all your weapons before you die if you avoid standing at the roof edge, and you can park your getaway vehicle in the alley by the ladder as well.

There is a bowling place in Broker. If you get a car, jump on top of it, and then you can just about reach the bowling roof. The cops don't dare to come after you as they're too fat anyway. Then you can have all the fun you want!

 

TIP: Make sure you have Molotov cocktails and some rocket launchers.

there is a spot....it's a couple blocks east of star junction. on a balcony. you can sit there forever. i've sat there with six stars for HOURS, without getting hit by a single bullet. it's a little more complicated than simply showing you a map of the location. getting to the spot can be difficult. if anyone is on XBOX, add me and i'll show ya. i've been playing since april and i haven't yet found a more secure, safe spot.

 

and btw, i've been trying to organize some big police shootouts on XBL. with strategically positioned snipers and multiple machine gunners. not in buildings, either....taking over entire streets and neighborhoods...if anyone would like to join, let me know.

I got chased by Russians actually on Hove Beach and as I ran towards one of the oil barrels the hobos use for their fire, the guys bumped into it and set themselves ablaze! So I have planned quite a few cop chases around there to see what happens.

If the door's closed, you can break the window. Cops can't get in through the windows.

Yeah, that Grotti's Turismo showroom is a godsend to steal a car from. I often knock out the windows with the baseball bat, because no-one takes any notice, not even the cops (they would if you shot the windows out), and then I can choose which Turismo I want and drive it out easily as the alarm goes off and warns the cops. Such a fast and robust car in a chase.

 

When I am trying to prolong a chase, I often head for the two construction sites in the centre of Algonquin, both with cranes, because both sites have grenades on the ground. And one has a kiosk that sells drinks, to bolster any lost life. The cops find it difficult to get in there to get at you, but you can actually drive in there and out, with care, if you have to.

The best place by far is the industrial area down far south in Alderney, you do an assasination mission there.

I did my mission then spent around 35mins up there, when the helicopter comes it keeps crashing into the barriers, and the cops rarely come up the stairs.

East Manganese Subway Station. The Ultimate shootout location. I stayed there for over 1 Hour and 6 Minutes and killed 611 cops using cheats for ammo and helth (I was doing it for fun, don't judge me! ) . It was so epic, as there is only one stairway that leads to the main station, no one can touch you. Then a quick escpaeinto the subway tunnel allowed me to lose my 6 star. Great fun!

This one has probabally been mentioned but, if you go to the museum in Middle park, shoot a cop outside of the museum, run around the back where you will see a ladder, climb up and crouch under the second wooden floor, cops come climping up the ladder and its fun shooting them off, and you are more or less completely covered from helicopter attacks.

Are you looking for a good spot for the 1 man army? My favorite spot is the Turismo dealer. Load up on all weapons especially grenades. Go in there and park a Turismo in front of the stairs and the cops can't get by it. That gives you 1 star stealing it. Then kill a cop and you get 3 stars. Then I go out on the balcony and park a Turismo out there, crouch down and start tossing grenades off the roof at the cops. You can get 6 stars there pretty quick that way. It's a great place because the helicopters can't get down to you because of all the tall buildings there. You must stay outside though. For some reason if you go back inside your wanted level lowers to 3 stars.

I park a Turismo out there because after a while I like to go on a crazy 6 star cruise through town. Loads of fun there. Here's a screen shot of it.

Climb the ladders at the back of the building, and then use the air conditioning unit to get to the very top part of the roof... Maybe its just an Xbox360-thing, but for some reason, the LCPD helicopters won't attack you while your up on that part of the roof there. They just hover way high up above you; so with some well placed RPG shots you can still make them drop out of the sky. AND, the cops/NOOSE are too stupid to know how to get to the very top of the building, so you can just sit there with a full wanted level for days if you want. The building itself is only 2-3 stories tall, so you have good views of the streets below you; ample coverage via yet another large air conditioning unit; etc, etc. See for yourselves.

i will agree. my friends and i use this place quite a bit. not only is the roof a good spot, but when you add friends to the mix, you get a sniper on the roof like you said, but even better, is using the balcony just below the roof. put 2 guys there, and 2 more in the other spot across the street. use a van or heli to access the balcony

I would advise GTAguy to go into a subway station, down onto a platform during midday. The place will be full and there are cops. Just hide behind one of the pillars at the back and throw lots of grenades into the people and police on guard. it's easy. after some time there were no more cops available for dispatch and it went quiet, so I emerged and there was martial law or something as nobody was around but dudes with ARs

There is a simple and rather obvious spot you can use. Actually there's a lot of them but go to your first safehouse and stand in the entrance shoot people or use the cheat to attract cops and just go in to the building go to the top of the stairs and shoot em as they come in the door. It's great I got up to 5* before i ran out of ammo and with a little more dialling i could get enough ammo for a 6*. This works for all the safehouses but I don't know about the last one coz i gave up with the story, too boring for me.

That sounds F'n sweet. I never got the opportunity to try that, but I always noticed those other balconies - even tried camping out there solo a couple of times, albiet unsuccessfully.

sure man. i'll add ya. could always use another gunner. i tried playing with the guy who started this thread, but he didn't have a mic. i didn't mind, but it was difficult to communicate simple stuff. nice guy, tho.

 

there's another good spot in chinatown. it's an asian looking building with some construction on the side. climb the ladder and there's this tiny little space where no heli's and no cops can reach you. although you have to step out of it a little to get a shot, you can last awhile there, too.
