kyklon10
Hello guys! You people rock! I bought the game 1 month ago because I am a fan of the GTA saga...! Now, I own a low end notebook (Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi2540) with a low performance video card (ATI HD2400) but I wanted deadly to play the game. When I installed it I realize that I only had 6-7 fps!!! I said to myself "No, I will play the game even with these fps"! Then I searched the internet and found this magnificent topic (The Ultimate hack) with the commandline.txt stuff, the settings there and also the shaders files that could be replaced... All these stuff increased my fps to a 13-14 fps!!! The only thing that matters is really the fps, then the graphics quality for me. Good thing as the game was at least more playble. My commandline is this: -height 480 -width 640 -availablevidmem 2.0 -refreshrate 60 -novblank All my setting as set to low as all the other stuff... and of course with 640x480 resolution. I downloaded now the update 1..0.2 patch and realized that no actual increased of fps occured. The only slight improvment was the graphics and particularly the shading, making the cars more shiny and more beautiful. Settings were all set to low and fps were 13.56 fps. I changes rendering quality to medium and had then 13.34fps so I left it there. Question for low end users around: - What else can I do to obtain little more fps? I don't mind really for the quality of graphics as I am a fanatic gamer of GTA series... PS: Least to say is that I disable antivirus (AVG 8.0 free) and Aero interface from my Vista Home Premium... Any ideas guys??? My System has 1.86 Dual Core Pentium (3.6GHZ in total) , 3GB RAM, ATI HD2400 256 MB RAM Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/394420-gta-ivupdate-102laptop-questions/ Share on other sites
