gta 4 gamer
Sitting on a computer watching someone else play a game you want to play in a postage-stamp-sized Youtube frame is like the most pathetic and desperate thing I've ever heard. Interestingly enough, sitting on the computer just trying to advertise microsoft is sad. Although, that is sad. You have a point that is not coming out to the ps3. Sony and us ps3 owners will need something special from microsoft to unite against the wii. Which will never happen.
Ediblez
What should I do? Read spoilers and such to find out what happens? Or wait and see if it comes out on PS3? i cant bellieve some hasnt said this... or maybe they did but im just to lazy to look down ... first off tlatd will NEVER come out for ps3..so you might as well look on youtube right when it comes out thats what im gonna do! dont get me wrong i have a 360 but my internet is mad slow so ill be waiting my ass off for the download to finish haha.. but anyway the new dlc will not come out to ps3 beacuse Ms paid 50 million for it not to come out anywhere but the 360 so its pretty much written in ink go to youtube
Skyline_man
I am a PS3 owner too, but i bought a used and cheap 360 (a core one), and i bought a used hard drive & a wireless controller for it, costed me about 215 $ in total. Now i just need XBL membership and TL&D. Maybe you should do the same.
the_regular_guy
Now i just need XBL membership and TL&D. You do know that Xbox Live Silver is free, right? Although if you wanna play online you'll need a Gold account, but if you're just gonna download TLAD then all you need is a Silver account. buffalosoulj4h20
dude why dont you wait until the second one comes out? by the time the second one comes out we'll know more about how exclusive this deal is. if youre going to do this keep away from tlatd forums and im sure rockstar will try to stop people from posting spoilers on youtube like they did with gta 4. im just saying if you have the money fine but if times are tough for your pockets then you may reconsider, is paying over 300 dollars worth it for a 10 hr game? GuruAskew
is paying over 300 dollars worth it for a 10 hr game? Here's a better question: is approximately $300 worth agonizing over not being able to play it for months or even years while you read people in full-blown denial mode convincing themselves that they'll get it eventually only to have nothing ever materialize? Let's look at the alternative. Let's just put the denial-time of your average PS3 owner at a year. For the sake of this argument they'll just accept the reality and be over it in 365 days. Furthermore let's just say that between buying the console and both DLC episodes and the game you're gonna drop $365. Instead of whining on online forums for that year you could just put aside a dollar a day and play the games you want to play. I drop $4 a day on coffee. It's not that much. I've said it before and I'll say it again: if you're reading and posting on GTAforums.com you want to play these DLC episodes. You can deny it all you want but if you're here they appeal to you. With the pricing of the 360 there's not much of an obstacle standing in your way and most 360 owners will vouch for the system and tell you it's worth it, even without GTA DLC. It's the PS3 fanboys who have nothing better to do than scream "RRoD!" every time it's brought up.
LitoBX
Three hundred dollars for a ten hour game? Are you missing the point that after you finish the missions you can be Johnny, recruit guys and beat the hell out of anyone you please then ride off with those guys and possibly go drinking. I swear to you that half of the guys in TLAD section of the Forums that have beaten GTA IV are officially going to be Johnny nearly twenty four seven. The guy's a biker, a ruthless one at that, it's much better then being an immigrant with a conscience. So yeah to put it simply for the simpletons, yes, it's worth the money if you lucked out and got stuck with a Playstation 3. And I'm not necessarily saying it's a bad thing but The Lost and Damned wise, it is. So yeah, do what you'd like, either waste some birthday and/or work money and buy it or just wait for it to come out and watch a walkthrough of it on Youtube. Either way you're going to get enjoyment out of it, it may not be at the same level but at least it's something. Good luck to all you struggling, intelligent Playstation 3 owners. BioVirus
I am personally going to buy a 360. They are very cheap now. $200(xbox) + $50 for both DLC packs(assumingly) are not alot considering my free money I have right now. When I buy my 360, I will just wait for both DLC packs. Then I play more of playstation. And for hoping this game comes to the ps3 is absolute sh*t. Did you see the stories come to the xbox? NO! So don't think the DLC will come to the ps3. Or microsoft and rockstar will have to deal it in the court. The xboxers haved moved along and admitted and accepted the fact they didn't get the stories. So should we ps3 owners. When you buy a 360, don't even think of playing your PS3 until you play all the great games the 360 has make sure to go buy DEAD RISING, and Gears of War, there are a ton of great games on 360 you are gonna miss out on. Dingdongs
i propose you to wait,i know it can be hard but its better ,i think after the DLC comes out for XBOX 360 the magazines are going to ask R* about it coming out for the ps3, and then we will see what the plans about it are...i still believe that it will come to the ps3 also,R* wont let the ps3 fans behind im sure so wait until more info comes out It's not going to be released on PS3 when R* was paid 50 million dollars by Microsoft not to release it on PS3. It's called cutting the competition, I am sure the two have an agreement that R* will not release it for PS3. If they do, they would be violotating whatever agreement they set with Microsoft. I can see it coming out for PC though definitely soon. I'm not just saying this because I have a 360, even if I had a PS3,I would come to this realization.( I just got a 360 copy of GTA IV a few weeks ago because I had it on PC only, and I just got my 360 around the beginning of December, so I am not one of those fanboys who go " YO PUNK I GOT XBOX U GOT PS3 HAHAH I GET CONTENT " ) It is that simple, understand business. Slamman
My money situation and joblessness force a wait to try an Xbox, but for now, the DLC 1 needs DLC 2, correct? As a whole, I would expect you'd want both installments which means a wait to pick up a 360 won't hurt. With my GTA4 freezing on PS3, I'd pick one up to give it a spin anyway and lay to rest the arguments about which is better...on ANALOG set, anyway. GuruAskew
wait for it come for ps3, Yeah, and while you wait we'll be playing it on 360. Then you'll wait some more then we'll play it some more. Then you'll wait even more and we'll be playing the second DLC. Then you'll continue to wait and we'll be playing both episodes over and over again. Or you could just get a 360 and play them right away.

GuruAskew
It doesn't need to be a fanboy war. It's just foolish to suggest that PS3 owners should wait for something that isn't coming. Again, there is a $50 million barrier standing between a PS3 owner and this content (or a $300-400 barrier, depending on how you look at it) and that needs to be accepted. Waiting for the content to materialize on PS3 is unrealistic and a waste of time given the circumstances.
buffalosoulj4h20
Great, I started a fanboy war.... you knew it would come to this! im joking, but like most gtas there will always be a new one to take the last ones place. i thought i would still be playing gta4 but no, now im waiting for the dlc. dude if you dont have the money or an access to an xbox 360 then just watch the videos, after a year it wont even matter anymore because there'll be a whole new gta for both consoles. Nightwing 0613
Lost and Damned is absolutely not coming out on PS3. It isn't. Period. Someone mentioned the Stories games, that isn't the same. Sony did not pay Rockstar 50 million to develop games on PSP, Rockstar wanted to. same goes for Chinatown Wars now, Rockstar wanted to make a game on the hardware, so they did. DLC exists because Microsoft paid for it. Sony will not be receiving it, and Sony has even stated they don't want it. Sorry, but you should get ready to read a lot of summaries and watch a lot of videos in the next month or two. I agree with this dude 100% The DLC's are NOT coming to PS3 ever! You PS3 guys need to get over this. Microsoft paid $50million for these exclusive rights and that ain't no chump change, it's a huge sum of money. If R* would release these on the PS3, they would be in violation of the contract and be sued big time by Microsoft. With the 2 stories games being ported, it's a completly different scenerio. Both the PSP & PS2 are owned by Sony. None of these 2 games were ported anywhere else and i doubt they ever will. Not to mention that Sony did NOT pay R* any money for exclusive rights to these games. It's a fact that Sony did not want to fork over any money for DLC regarding GTA IV, which is why Microsoft used this to their advantage & got exclusive rights to it by paying 50M for it. If you PS3 fanboys want to be mad, then go tell Sony about it. Don't blame Microsoft, the 360 or us 360 gamers. Blame your precious Sony.

ChrisMathers3501
As someone who owns a 360 but not a PS3, my advice to all PS3 owners is to be like me: I ain't got a PS3, but I'm gonna get one as soon as I can - you should get a 360 as soon as you can. Even if Rockstar does eventually release DLC for the PS3, I say getting a 360 would be worth it for other exclusively released games. Just don't be an idiot and play it all day - fear the red ring. I only play for several hours at a time, and I've had mine since August 2007. I don't know how long you can insure one for, but I think I might already be past the date, so I saved money by not getting a policy. But when you get a 360, DO get a hard drive. I made the mistake of not getting one, and now The Lost and Damned will cost more than $20 for me.
