yoječ
One of the things I really disliked in GTAIII were radar icons - they were poor quality. I couldn't find any better ones anywhere on the Net, so... I've made them (radar disc texture was made by OnePiece, thanks for permission to use it) Not all of them look good (I really don't like how Ammu-nation icon looks now but I couldn't make better...), but overall I think it went rather well. Hope you'll like it Here's download link: http://yojo2.ovh.org/gta3mods/hqri/hqri.zip Edited March 27, 2009 by yojo2 Blackbird88, RyanDri3957V and Dmitriy87 2

jp245
you should do this also for the map textures too cuz some of the roads on the map look blurry if you dont understand what i was talking about then that makes two of us well i know what i was talking about but the way i explained it sucked XD
SuperBastard
Really nice!!! I like it.... can make HQ icons for vice city?
yoječ
Are you gona do for the other games (Vice and SA ) ?!Well... rather not, because it would me much more demanding to do them - and, because I'm not graphic designer, effect wouldn't be good. Maybe I'll try VC, but I don't promise.you should do this also for the map textures too cuz some of the roads on the map look blurry if you dont understand what i was talking about then that makes two of us well i know what i was talking about but the way i explained it sucked XDDid you mean map that is displayed on radar? I planned to make a HQ ver of it, but it's also demanding. Again, I don't promise that I'll make it, but I will surely try.

FullMetal
Good job, still in the original style but higher quality! Will look good on my other 'scavanged' higher quality mods for GTAIII. Really improves the look of this old classic alot. Can I say, more please? Indeed, I also use OnePiece his 'high quality' radar 'disc'. edit: Hmm, I can't edit the TXD to add the other high quality weapon icons and such in it, and I can't import the files in my own 'old' HUD.TXD. It's been a long time that I edited stuff for GTAIII, can anyone help me out? I remember doing something with the TXD, but what exactly? Fireburns
Thanks Yoyo! Very nice work! @Fullmetal: Search for TXD Workshop, open the txd-file you want and import the files you want to replace the original ones. Save in GTA3 format. FullMetal
I know, I had to decompress/compress the 'pictures' first before I could replace them. Still, now I have troubles installing models/car mods with the IMG tool (2.0). Maybe it's because I use vista?

S. Partrick
Sorry, but I think I lost source files of this mod some time ago. Well u can start making new ones or download the old ones from GTAGARAGE or ms.cooldude's mod.
yoječ
I was thinking about making a new version of this mod, with sligthly improved graphics and - most importantly - decreased icon size, which makes it look pretty cool with widescreen fix. The radar disc was thinned as well Not sure if anybody's interested though, nobody's playing III anymore
elMarcoPL
Bullsh*t. This game never dies. Good work.
Fireburns
Nice! Even after 10 years this game is still running on my pc. Go ahead with your release! ;-) Fireburns
yoječ
OK, seems like mod approval on GTAGarage will never happen, so I'll just upload it sommewhere else. Thanks to Dani5ooo icon width was fixed for widescreen resolutions, so they don't look stretched anymore. Of course standard version for 4:3 resolutions is also included. This mod also includes HD weapon icons made by OnePiece. http://www.sendspace.com/file/u7uh6m

kumaraguru
Hi yojc is it possible can you make these changes in this mod... in GTA III the radar icons for Asuka & Tony were CAPS.. (actually all character mission marker icons are CAPS) but they're in lower case in your mod.. yes i know, i'm pretty late.. yoječ
I just thought they looked better lowercase (and also uppercase "A" and "R" seemed too similar for me). Also, the "t" character in the Pricedown font (which was used in these icons) looks the same uppercase and lowercase. Here's uppercase "A" icon: Edited August 16, 2016 by yojc
Igor Bogdanoff
You should rerelease this but this time put the textures in txd with magic.txd

Igor Bogdanoff
Better compression with less quality loss
yoječ
That's good to know. However, the quality difference would be minimal in this case.
