Im guessing that to convert the full vesion of GTA IV to a demo will be alot of extra work and for what? Most people are already familar with previous versions so they know what to expect game-play wise. Alot of people may or may not have seen/played/heard about the xbox version before it was released for the pc so they would know its an excellent game. Performance wise....if u know that ur got a sh*t pc, don't buy it. If you know that you did not build your pc for gaming, don't buy it. If you got the game as a gift and it won't run, don't b*tch. You did not buy it. You cannot blame R* because you bought the game and it would not run on your dad's pc. Just buy a console instead. Yes and if you got a top of the line PC and this crappy console port still doesn't perform properly.....what you do than huh?This ain't no discussion.It's a crappy port.No one is to blame,but the developer. Heh.. The game is future proofed Anyone on here with a top of the line pc having problems running the game? My GPU was having problems before this new patch .. ATI 4870x2 2GB GDDR5 It was running slow as hell, police cars slowed me down 50% of the time, after the new patch it works like a dream and runs very smooth. It's here: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=390264 In the topic there's some good advice as to how to apply the savegames to your copy of IV. nitro_hedgehog Posted January 31, 2009 Share Posted January 31, 2009 (edited) some of us legitimate buyers don't like having securom active. my reason is that securom BSOD'd me one time and upon restart windows wouldn't boot due to corrupted files. i tried to repair said files, failed, tried to reinstall, partition showed up as non existent. i had to do a "secure" wipe of the HDD using another HDD with windows on it to actually be able to use the damn thing. ever since then, i have used a crack. not one problem. i'd rather risk using the securom launcher again so i'm going to get the updated crack and enjoy my purchase. p.s. this wasn't the only game to do this to me. spore and farcry2 have done the same thing, neither of which gave me any problems after using a cracked EXE. I had the same problem using a cracked loader.exe (I own the game but don't want to keep inserting the CD) but once reverting to the original file it worked fine. I use mouse and keyboard for shooting of course, and nearly every other game I have, but when I race/fly with a mouse it just doesn't work for my skill seems to be about 89% better when using a joypad, not having a dig but when you claim 'all pc users use keyboard and mouse' I have to say that I do use a joypad for better steering.
