I have had enough of this sh&t now, honestly. Nice going F&^KSTAR!! F^% you and all of your games!! Go F&^k yourself in the a-hole. I will never buy another f&*king game from you, you motherf*&king POS!!!! I have the same problem, it is because the game detects less video memory. I installed in mistake this patch twice, I will do a clean install, should I install First patch in addition to the second are just the second right away. GTA_Vista Posted January 24, 2009 Share Posted January 24, 2009 Thanks Rockstar, all well in the end, I doubt Ill go back to XP 32 to see if it works for me but Im sticking with Vista x64 as it played flawlessly anyway, this new patch does appear to make a great improvement for me, like the new menu sliders, gives me more control, liking the definitions option And for those who said MagicIV isnt working anymore, shame on you, seems to be working still on my machine. I got the same problem as well, while NOT using any commandline tweaks and VRAM usage in the green range. Btw this seems not to be a missing texture problem, but a bug in the level of detail swicthing code. The first patch didn't really fix much, just made us all uninstall out drivers for out directX pads that worked in EVERY other game. The second patch again seems to fix very little but this time makes the directX pads off by defualt AND now most of use can't us the Computers in the game. Avoiding the bigger, harder-to-solve problems might be okay in college, but when you're a 'professional' this kind of bullsh*t is unacceptable. Introducing new problems... It just boggles my mind that they release a patch that breaks things as simple as in-game computer usage. However, I have noticed that I now get a lot more stutter with the game.. when moving the camera etc. It's strange as my benchmark has gone from 38fps to 43fps. It is certainly not as playable as with v1.0 though. The stutter is really offputting. Any idea what could be causing this? I'm using reasonable settings: Texture: Medium Rendering: High The new settings: High View distance / detail: 40 Car density: 100 Shadow density: 0 Vsync: On (if off I get awful screen tearing) Definition: yes Clip capture: off Spec in my signature. I'm running the latest Nvidia drivers. The only command line params I use now are the -fullspecaudio one. I took off the availablevidmem param and the game is only using around 500mb of vid memory. Any advice would be appreciated. It is certainly not as playable as with v1.0 though. The stutter is really offputting .... SAME HERE. It seems that even with V-SYNC ON, the game look like V-SYNC OFF, and sometimes the building dissapear, with settings default... Uninstall v1.02, back to v1.01....
