el badman Posted January 24, 2009 Share Posted January 24, 2009 Interesting...Now my Rumblepad 2 is not recognized anymore (I think somebody mentioned that already)...Kinda ironic, it was working fine so far and the patch that's supposed to support it ends up disabling it Still, I admit that it all seems to run smoother now (even though I lost about 1 fps in the benchmark), there's definitely less stuttering. I only got past the second artwork and it was loading the save game and I was in and playing about 3 seconds after that. Game game feels much more responsive than it did before. Honestly not quite what I imagined but I am glad they gave us more graphic options to tweak with for a better middle-ground. Can't really notice any performance difference but I'm yet to tweak around with the new options, killed mods (not that I couldn't see it coming, not after hot coffee anyway) but this will get situated as coders get on with the new code...which is hopefully soon. No big difference, I played around with the new settings, but I don't really see a major change. Ran the benchmark again, said I got an average of 48 FPS, which is not true, because in normal gameplay, I only got 35 FPS maximum... and when it's raining, it easily drop to 37. Oh and I don't really like the new "blur" thing... it's weird. It's like I've pressed the P key again... I hate that effect. <_< The only good thing about this patch is the fact that I can use my wheel now. I'm gonna try it tomorrow online. As for the rest... try again Rockstar.
