How can you deny that, i'm creating a compilation of those bench's as we speak. But it's true, also it doesn't explain why another game is performing subpar. I already stated at least 5 times i got gtx 280 coming in 1-2 day and the the fps isn't locked in san andreas, and i was getting 60 fps in my previous rig because i locked it and it was fluidly with the same video card. You've proven the case that the game is f*cked up beyond all repair. The overclock and 30% cpu usage suggests a throttle of some sort with GTAIV. Half Life 2 did something similar at the time of release, they tweaked it so that you could not get the fullest performance depending on what brand and or version of generation of GPU. A couple of days later these features completely 'impossible to render with brand/generation of card/directx8 or 9' were found to be possible by altering the gpu recognition data file in the steam folder. Those with performance at the top end of the tip see the game lagging on certain points of the game, regardless of impressive detail or activity onscreen. Microsoft after a great many years of it patching and repatching XP while hardware finally caught up to make it a decent experience, to actually improve on it's younger 98, just when it gets actually good they f*cking well release Vista! It's snake oil for the industry, don't think petrochemical corporations are the only groups to have summits and plan their new order and structure for growth and dependency for the masses to consume, if you can seriously expect anyone to f*cking believe that this performance cannot be attained on anything less than a subatomic organic-neural core processor, Jesus wept. The i7 @ 4GHz should kick this game to bits unending 160FPS at all times, it doesn't it is a shocking port. The GPU is no f*cking bottleneck when it's rendering some bland room interior and not getting higher than 36FPS then stepping outside to traffic it goes UP to 60+. The game is f*cked, perhaps they never gave a sh*t and simply did a half arsed job of emulatiion, perhaps they worked their hardest everest possible and achieved the same result of what i believe the kids would say as... Fail! Epic FAIL! I however am still waiting for a patch or even a polite "sorry guys, we f*cked up, here's a vague distant token offering of the hope of a measly patch, there, there. Something is wrong. Running GTA 4, that requires so much from the CPU, when you oc it and dont get any performance boost at all, you certainly have a bottleneck. Look logically i would agree with you it's gpu limited i would totally agree with you, but i'm looking at all the other benchmarks and i'm getting very low performance and i'm also looking at gta san andreas a game USE TO PERFORM good and i'm getting lower performance. What part of that do you have trouble with? Now let's get crazy, MAYBE the VRAM is failing on the card could make sense? maybe but that's just getting a bit crazy since i haven't had any crashes in lot's of other games. It just doesn't make sense. Please i would like to hear your explanation to things i mentioned above. especially where it's been documented that a 9800 gt and a gtx280 give about 5 - 7 fps more while the cpu shows the biggest impact. Please elaborate, i would like to hear your answer to this. EDIT: give me 10 minutes i'm going to bombard you with nothing but benches so you can see the numbers for themselves.
