n3b0dy66 Posted January 23, 2009 Author Share Posted January 23, 2009 The only game so far that i seen give me lower performance is Gta San Andreas as opposed to my previous x2 2.8ghz rig and the performance drop is huge in that game, i was getting constantly fluid 60 fps at max settings. Gta 4 is running like complete crap, and other games do show signs of performance increase. Don't get me wrong GTA IV runs a bit better ( i guess, not really ) then my X2 system. So if i'm getting performance increases in other games who's to say there not just CHUMP change performance increases. Get what i'm getting at, ok gta iv last to my recollection to my x2 2.8ghz amd was running about maybe 10-15 fps more, but in other games because i notice performance increase doesn't mean i'm actually getting the full performance boost i should be. hopefully you get what i'm saying. What i'm gonna do now is try to find another game with some kind of benchmark and hopefully find something else to compare. Assistance would be great guys, ROCKSTAR ARE YOU LISTENING care to assist? n3b0dy66 Posted January 23, 2009 Author Share Posted January 23, 2009 if you looked over your benchmarks with an eye for what you are seeing you would notice your video card is the bottleneck. 33% usage on cpu and system ram and 97% on the gpu. means either lower your resolution or get a new video card. also did you install your chipset drivers. I think your missing the POINT, i stated i have a GTX280 coming, i just wrote i have the latest chipset drivers, and almost everybody can confirm that this game is mostly CPU dependent and there are infact reviews which i linked in my messages that prove this to be true, also on this forum there are people with quad core processors and same video cards as mine with better results. This is at stock. i get 9 seconds at 4.0ghz i'm running everything stock at the moment, i don't want to think that some overclocking issues could be the result of this.
