GTAVeditorsucks Posted January 22, 2009 Share Posted January 22, 2009 Hi, I joined these forums yesterday looking for a solution to a problem with the video Editor claiming that when I tried to export at 720p or above it claimed that the game resolution was too low to export the video. I couldn't find an answer but by pure chance while fiddling with the video editor I noticed that if you hover over the 720p logo and it comes up 'Game resolution too low to export', simply go the the menu on the left that has 'Add song', 'Add Clip', 'Transitions' and 'Text'. When I clicked 'Text' then returned to hovering over the 720p logo nothing was displayed about the game resolution and I was able to click the link and render the video clip. Just to give people an idea. To render a 9 second clip took around 3-4 minutes. My 8 minute video that I made took around 40-50 minutes to render but was well worth it. My only problem now is that Youtube is unable to convert the produced video file. The video file plays no problem in my VLC video player. Any ideas? OabAli Posted January 22, 2009 Share Posted January 22, 2009 Firstly, LOL to your name. Maybe GTAIVeditorsucks, not GTAVeditorsucks... Secondly, just notch up your resolution to 1280 x 720 or higher (even if temporarily), and you can export to 720p mode. I used to run GTA IV at 1024 x 768, and I couldn't export to 720p. Now running at 1280 x 960, and can now export to 720p. The 720p logo is visible and accessible. BTW, I think the GTA IV Video Editor is really cool!
