It does not load with v1, v2 or hot coffee scripts. It means that you're using scripts other than the original scripts. The crash after reaching the beach has to be a result of these modified scripts. Even if you provide a download link to your scripts, chances are the game will crash for me too. As for your game, you say "no major mods" - could be that you still have a corrupt file somewhere. If lockups happen in later missions you might need to do a complete reinstall.
