You were saying..? I can't get your point, I compared and tested modern OS that GTA IV can use (xp, vista, 7 beta 7000). I of course compare the updated latest service pack for all of them, no point in using/playing outdated/old-version OS. XP should be faster in most functions then vista including gameing. I can run just fine without a single tweak to windows, no high priority and only availablevidmem command in GTAIV. I never shutdown background tasks or anything. I usually have like 71 processes running while playing. Everything in my system is at stock frequencies. Graphic settings: High/Highest 30 30 100 0 Dude..., you are playing in a small resolution without max "view distance" and getting 35 pfs whlie walking, in my posted gameplay you can see that in the end of the movie I have 30-31 fps on foot, and this is the highest gameplay quality possible to a med rig. I in mistake just probably confused you with the name of the action "force AA from Nvidia", I just think that my game looked a little bit better, I said not a big change. I don't know if this twick will make you believe that the quality is a little better, but I sure in 100% that the sum of all the twicks will make your game fly relative to it condition without them. And damn! , I just try to help you in posting all the helpful twicks and explain them in one place, If you hate me for it ,then just use your finger to **** yourself in the *** . Windows 7 performs almost like vista, fps wise i dont got any much superior, just better lags. Windows 7 will not be the new xp, it will be the new vista. When i had poor machine vista worked bad at my computer, and i usually complained on vista. After upgrading vista is good or better. People with outdated hardware usually claims that 'XP is superior', when on truth they only have bad hardware; I agree. I have here a PC with Intel Pentium M 740, 2GB RAMDDR2, Intel GMA. XP works nice and super on that rig, but when I install Vista, that rig sucked all the time very much bytes! Programs runs very slow and no game could be played. Now I have a new notebook with Vista and programs runs fast and better! Even GTA IV runs smoothley. Look at my sig for my rig And never thougt to say but, Vista rocks! Fella im sorry if i offended you in any way. Im not against you or your tweaks or your version of AA. Im sure that your tweaks helped alot of people. It's just that i don't like the fact of having to do all those thinks just to play at max details when i already get a good enough frame rate at my settings and the game don't look too bad. Don't get me wrong, i wish i could max out all the settings but my graphic card for one is a bottleneck. I am just happy that my approx. 2yr old system can run such a demanding game at a better framerate than alot of people.
