Even when SLi gets supported in a future patch, the GTX 295 will have only 896mb as effective VRAM. Its interesting to check if the 104 mb difference to a 1 Gb card will represent any drop in the general performance considering its great GPU power. Although in my opinion Core i7 is a fail, seeing as their is going to be 3 socket changes in 2 years and the memory controller is retarded along with the horrible DDR3. If you can play the game now, don't bother until intel release it's new architecture in 2010 Sandy Bridge or Haswell if you can. good luck though. I just built a I7 940 CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Asus Rapage II Extreme Coolermaster Stacker885 GTX280 EVGA 1024mb 950 watt PSU TB HDD Vista 64. Build cast just over 2G's(had the video card already) and runs GTA IV all max. Bench said avg 60 FPS and only used 38% CPU 45% Base Ram and 50% Vram. Runs great and smokes this game and MFSX.
