Which is better?

Vice City's storyline?

OR

Vice City STORIES' storyline?

For me VC's storyline is better.

For me VC's storyline was the best ever, so far at least. The whole marfia scene was great, and I think Lance and Sonny were great characters. VCS's is quite a good storyline, but coulden't take anything away from VC.

For me Vice City Stories has better storyline. It just looks more fitting and then it is the only GTA to exclude the mafia which is a huge plus. Though I like the way they take over the city in both. By killing a gang boss (in VC a major one while in VCS you kill a minor one and make it big time). I prefer VCS because VC was a lot like Scarface.

That's why I love VC - I love reference's to Scarface movie , it's my favourite movie.

I prefer GTA: Vice City's storyline than GTA: Vice City Stories because it was truly epic and amazing. The storyline for GTA: Vice City Stories was alright. I still like the gameplay of GTA: Vice City Stories though.

I don't liked VCS because it was challenging (I bought PSP with this game , you know - when you buy a console and play it you play bad.) and most of missions were realy boring for me. I liked missions like in VC - easy , but cool.

Vice City's storyline had more meaning to it than any other GTA's storyline... including IV.

Yeah, VC's storyline is really easy. The only mission I didn't like was Demolition man. But after 1 year practice I can pass it for 1000 times. Can't get 100% cause of unique jumps. The assault missions are great like Rub out, Loose Ends. I like Loose ends.

If you are really struggling with the Unique Stunt jumps, I advise you to take a look here. You'll notice the locations for each jump, and you'll also notice the green blips on each picture, which indicate exactly where you have to jump through. Credit goes to Demarest for his Uniquecall code tool.

Most of them I did, but 2 of them is hard to make it to register the jumps. E.g. the one close to malibu club, the 2nd is close to Washington beach hardware tools shop. U spend too much nervs urging it to register.

The one near the Malibu Club is this one I assume? Click to view. If that is the one you're struggling with, after a few attempts you'll soon master it. You have to make sure you are equipped with a very fast vehicle, like the PCJ 600, and then back up as far back as possible (which, admittedly, isn't very far). When you're going forward towards the ramp, gently press the forward button to shift your weight on the bike. It will make it go considerably faster, and as long as you assume normal position as you hit the ramp, you should land the jump.

The one near the Tooled Up store in Washington beach is this one? Click to view. A smaller, sandy Verge with a gap in the fence. I find this jump relatively easy, though can understand why you would struggle with it. You again need a fast vehicle to land it and successfully complete it. I'd advise you to use the PCJ 600 again, but I've actually completed the jump in a Sentinel XS. Providing you back up fast enough, or gain speed from travelling from Starfish Island and hitting the ramp head on, you should easily complete the jump.

Sorry to sway wildly off-topic.

Sorry to continue this off-topic(ity), but I have done this jump using a Rhino, so I don't see what is hard about it. And of course by firing the turret backwards, which is way to gain acceleration for this slow vehicle.

(Yet more off-topicness!) The Rhino actually becomes one of the fastest vehicles in the game when the turret is turned backwards and you begin to open fire, so I'm sure you just about cleared the road behind the jump spot seeing as I've landed a nigh on 200M unique jump with the Rhino!

That's enough off-topic for me, even though I'm not too fond of these sorts of comparison topics in the first place. I'll leave it to run it's course. smile.gif

  • 2 weeks later...

I like the story for VC better although as of right now I enjoyed VCS better. VC has more compelling interesting story than VCS. I just think I like the characters better from VCS.

I hate to be a party pooper, but...

As I've stated before, I don't see the need for a comparison topic in a Vice City dedicated sub-forum to go ahead, they often result in petty little arguments. I know this topic hasn't gone down that path yet, but it's not entirely specific to Vice City in the first place.

Sorry, chaps.
