If you lose, leave, crash and/or total the Infernus given to you it will be lost permanently. It does NOT re-spawn so it’s best to either save your game prior to use or keep it parked in your parking spot at all times (even this isn’t a guarantee to keep it there). As for getting it outside of this you can try driving around in sports cars, this tends to fill the nearby surrounding area in other sports cars, one of which will be the Infernus.

They do respawn very rarely; usually during Brucie's racing missions, if you go there in a sporty car they can sometimes spawn, however it will take a few tries to get it done.

No point in being worried though, if you lose it all you have to do is reload - simple as that!

Here's what to do. Take it, park it outside your safehouse in Bohan and keep it there. When you want to use an Infernus, hop into yours and drive it south along the East Borough bridge. Before you reach the toll, turn around through one of the gaps in the central divide and drive back again and park it safely in your parking bay.

As you park up, you will see that the game will have spawned plenty of parked Infernuses in the area surrounding your safehouse. Just break into one and steal it. Voila! Using this method you end up with an endless supply of Infernuses that you can scrape, scratch, dent and destroy at your leisure.

All you're doing is taking advantage of the mechanics of the game. When you drove away and returned, the game regenerates the cars and traffic around the South Bohan area. It does so with the limited number of car models it has in memory at the time, one of which, of course, is the one you're driving. You can do it with any car. It does not work so well at other safehouses because they do not have quite as many cars parked in the area. But in South Bohan, it usually spawns so many, you even have a decent choice of colours.

Enjoy.

That's true hehe. I already saw 9 Infernus parked near the safehouse. I just picked up one and that was it. tounge.gif

I even thought: rare car my ass... biggrin.gif

It's just so ironic that you end up taking your rarest, most valuable cars and parking them in one of the dodgiest areas in Liberty City ... on the street! biggrin.gif

I never keep my cars. It's so stupid. Why should I drive around so carefully, it's not like I'm never, ever going to see another infernus.

this idea has to be one of the most unrealistic aspects of the GTA series...having cars disappear before/during/after missions. i hate the fact that i have to make a conscious decision to drive or not drive a car parked at my safehouse. for the most part i keep unique, mission generated cars so if one of them disappears or i get thrown into a mission mid-freeride, i run the risk of losing that vehicle and being unique i cant replace them easily. its just too bad that one has 2 feel like they cant even use the cars they have acquired and ultimately i end up carjacking a passing car that is similar to one i have parked and use it freely w/o care or hesitation.

I almost forgot about other technique you can use: Car Spawner hehe.

It was pretty damn useful for me during the years I played and moded San Andreas. Now it's still pretty useful, specially if you want to have some fun driving a good car without having the problem of losing it because you crashed or something. tounge.gif

They could have an feature similar to Saints Row, where if you wreck your car you can pay to have it repaired. That would certainly solve the problem of people needing to be precious about their cars.
