UndeadDevil
Just tried out GTA IV in 3D with the nVidia 3D Drivers. GTA IV is the first game i've ever played that does not take a performance hit from the GPU having to render 2x the amount Anyways, i'm glad to say GTA IV looks great and runs as well as normal in 3D. Anyone else got Red/Cyan 3D Glasses, Shutter Glasses or a nice new 3D LCD?

noVa
do you mean this thing? ? if so no as you need an nvidia card don't you? and a high refresh rate monitor (120hz)?
UndeadDevil
nVidia cards only, but the drivers have many methods of Stereoscopy in the driver. Including the very cheap Red/Cyan Glasses option which works on any LCD (Although has ghosting issues)
ron123
Can someone post a link for how it should look from the LCD monitor?
heat84
Can someone post a link for how it should look from the LCD monitor? Wouldn't that be like watching an ad for an HDTV on a regular TV?
Crazy Asian
Lol, yes. But there's always ways to simulate it, like how they show what a 3d movie is supposed to look like with 3d glasses.

UndeadDevil
They add depth perception to games/movies. Bullets flying out of your monitor kind of thing. Stunts are especally cool with 3D Glasses in GTA IV Edited January 21, 2009 by UndeadDevil
One-time
Isn't it compatible with a few games only? And I doubt GTA IV is one of them.

UndeadDevil
Isn't it compatible with a few games only? And I doubt GTA IV is one of them. Where did you get that idea from, its in-compatable with a few games only and even then its just bugs like Crosshair being at a odd depth. If a game is 3D its supported by nVidia's 3D Driver. And GTA IV has no issues at all with Stero 3D (Just like Bioshock, UT3, Far Cry 2, etc)

Bladerunner_UK
I've played a few games in 3d, notably CoD4, LFS and Far Cry. Havent tried GTA4 yet, because I have only just upgraded my card to a 9800GTX (yesterday!) so havent had the opportunity. Biggest problem for me is that I need ordinary glasses to be able to see, and putting the red/cyan glasses on as well is awkward ... to say the least! HakuAnime
Would I be able to use my RealD glasses for this? I'm assuming no from what was said in the quote below, but I just want to make sure.
