dixonsblade
It just seems I'm having big problems with this game. What happens is that I can play for about half an hour to an hour and the picture seems jerky and eventually freezes. After that it goes back to the desktop and says "GTA IV stopped working out of video memory" ??!!?? This is unbelievable! The whole point of myself buying (at the time 6 months ago) a £550 graphics card with 1GB of video memory, then to be told "out of video memory" is shocking!! Honestly i have turned all the background applications off, adjusted resolution and tried everything that i can think of?? This is some of the setup i have:- Intel QX9650 C.P.U. Asus Striker II Extreme Mobo 8gb Corsair DDR3 Memory EVGA GTX280 Hydro Copper 1gb Graphics Card I have updated the BIOS to the latest that Asus have and tried the latest EVGA drivers for my particular graphics card. Also Nvidia's website and tried their graphics driver seeing as the EVGA one didn't work with GTA IV? Please if you could help me it would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Paul Dixon. tttt
Try to turn off clip capture, and try the memrestrict trick. Note that it might not correct the bug, depending on nobody knows what. Or waiting for a patch, which rockstar might not be working on, nobody knows. I'm personnaly fed up with that bug.
