itsmytime26
I am not sure if this has been posted, as i have searched, but according to take2 and this link.... http://support.take2games.com/cgi-bin/take...li=&p_topview=1 You can use your saved clips as a benchmark, instead of the lame in game one... UPDATE: Well the link doesnt work but search Take2's website for their Q&A's for GTA 4 and it will tell you how to do it...and sorry for the spelling in the title...BENCHMARKING!! Mouta
for God's sake, is in the damn readme! why do no one read the readme? i know you r trying to help. but if more people read the readme there wouldnt be these kind of threads. quote from readme: "Users can specify which Clip to run the benchmark utility with by adding the File ID to the end of the command line option. Clip files are located in My Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\Videos\Clips. Ex. If the clip file you wish to benchmark is named 081105203237.clp, enter -benchmark 081105203237 in the target field at the end of the executable's path." chngdman
Yes, there was another topic about this (he included some of his own for some reason) and it really is a good idea. That topic is long gone so thanks for the reminder, I forgot all about this ability so I will give it a try the next time I want to bench. The advantage is that you will be benching a closer resemblance to actual game play because in the stock BM it is just the 6 scooters and players, the end. In our recorded clips, we have many many more things going on, even though it's still a recording, it's still a better way. About reading the readme... Only a f*cking nerd would read the ENTIRE readme unless they faced problems. lol.
