The game takes place in post-apocalyptic Chicago after a major-scale earthquake, and tells the story of a man named Adam Collins. The game was announced at the end of Ubisoft's E3 2008 conference. The plot focuses on Adam's life during the aftermath of a 10.3 magnitude earthquake, which shatters his life as a citizen, while the rest of the world is under a water crisis. The rescue team fails to arrive, Adam gets caught in chaos that gets worse by the hour. Chicago has been cut off from the outside world. Adam sets up a refugee camp in the ruins of Chicago to attract the government's attention. The player will need to find resources, organize survivors and search for Adam's girlfriend, Alice. In the midst of Chicago’s ruins, the player will have to survive for seventeen days.' It looks like a survival, action type game. Cross between the movie cloverfield, and fallout 3. By the look of the trailer a huge Earthquake took out the city but then again thats probably what they want you to think. Here's the trailer anyway, for those who haven't seen it Hmmm. I'm a bit skeptic. The premise is pretty different but there doesn't seem to be a clear background to this game. That last part looked eerily similar to the 911 footage they had on that documentary. JeNvEy Posted January 20, 2009 Author Share Posted January 20, 2009 The game i dont think isnt going to give alot of answers, its obviously a type of game where you dont no whats happened and you got to find out whats caused all the carnage, Its basically going to be something like I am Legend, Cloverfield but they've made a game out of it. Well the PC port will be made by the same people and the game is going to be publish by the same people which is ubisoft. And the game does look good. I might go and buy it but first i need to know more about, like the plot (beside having to stay alive after an earthquake) and the gameplay. Edited January 20, 2009 by The General. If I saw that, I'm sure I'd at least look shocked; if not sh*t scared! This game looks promising, though I doubt I'll buy it. I'm not too big on RPGs. Pat Posted January 21, 2009 Share Posted January 21, 2009 I really hope the WMM-esque effects (such as the "Thanks for Watching!" at the end) were added by the person who uploaded the trailer to YouTube. If a game developer used a program similar to WMM for its trailer, I would seriously avoid the game at all costs. Other than that, though, it looks pretty good. Only thing I don't understand is why he threw the water onto the glass. Why not throw it between him and the glass, that way he kills the people pursuing him and keeps the water? So theres a bit of news if its true. It is occurring like the movie cloverfield now. Just need the gameplay to be like a digital camera.
