f*ck, 5 and a half hours and I left the game to go piss then I came and wasted! I dont know how, I was where they cant get me (Wang Auto's).

 

I did discover you can shoot through the top of the tank to kill the army.

Sorry, my bad. Didn't considered that.

 

But that's a real interesting problem.

First of all I thought it could be possible to jump from the heights of the Richman district in Los Santos, but that's too far.

On the bridge near Santa Maria Beach is a little offset which can be walked over but does not seem to be passable with the BMX.

From the hills east of the San Fierro Airport (still on the Los Santos part of San Andreas) it seems impossible to jump.

I think it might be possible to pass the bridge in the norteast of Red County, however, that brings us to Las Venturas.

After all I would like to put the BMX in a boat and drive it to the coast of San Fierro but that's not an option.

 

I'm quite interested how you two solved this problem.

This topic doesn't need me around to keep it active. All I'm doing is organising all completed attempts into the first post.

 

This topic's activity has dropped as of late, but I'm sure it will pick up again in the near future. I've added all completed challenges up to this point; great work rubregg!

 

Oh and, about your proposed challenge Blizzard, usually I wouldn't want to encourage challenges that require you to cheat, but in this case, since the cheat will act as the catalyst for the challenging factor, I'm all for it.

A new challenge: This could be tough.

 

Start a new game, do not enter Grove Street and start Big smoke. Go to Mt. Chiliad and grab the BMX on top of the mountain, bring it back to Grove street and take a pic of the bike with CJ on top of it. I feel that bringing the bike back to grove street is enough rather than parking it your garage and then starting Big smoke.

I could do it, but I don't have the time. All that you have to do is ride along the side of the road real slow and they will drive right past you and the chopper can't hurt you, so your good to go, the only problem is the barriers.

That's the challenge, mate. How do you get that small 'toy' vehicle from Angel Pine to LS with barriers and heavy cops?

See, the AI is programmed to have them simply try to block your way instead of running into you while your on a bike, so they will go right past you if you just go by the side of the road. The bike is bullet anything proof, so the chopper can't hurt you because the game is programmed for when you get hit by the chopper while entering/exiting or driving a vehicle, the vehicle takes the damage and never you, so you don't have to worry when the choppers after you, but your problem will be the police after exiting their vehicles, so don't ever let them block your way, and then your problem will be getting past the barriers, so I think you could get the bike in the garage and starting Big Smoke for the challenge.

That's a lot of debating about a fairly simple task:

 

 

You need at least 40% cycling skill to actually start the race, so that's why I didn't get the trunks.

Brilliant, Phreak!! How did you manage to get back to LS? The BMX has poor jumping ability when it's at 0 cycling skill. Great job! Also, did you lose health because of excessive cycling and loss of muscle or because of something else?

 

@Flicko: Nice to see you back. How was the sun in Spain ?

The health loss is due to a couple of painful falls on Chiliad , and armor loss is due to the police shooting at me while I'm desperately trying to locate the bike.

The police are a lot more aggressive on Chiliad while free-roaming compared to during a 4* race btw.

 

According to the screenshots it took me about 4 mins. to get to Chiliad and about 9 mins. to cycle back to Grove (apparently scoring $50 worth of stunt bonuses in the process), so hunger isn't an issue.

 

I think revealing the exact route/method is considered a spoiler for the time being (?)

Great work, mate. If you want to keep your route private to others, by all means, do so! You wouldn't want to diminish the challenging factor to others in any way. If you do want to share your route with the optimistic, but don't want to spoil it for others, you can always make a little note above your method, and then, to really make it private, place your text in spoiler tags. That would mean that the only people who would read your method are the ones who want to, and possibly show no interest in completing this challenge.

 

It's been added to the table anyway.

Great job, Phreak… I haven’t attempted the challenge, but as soon as I read that you successfully got a bicycle back to Ganton from Mount Chiliad, my first thought was The Panopticon… I haven’t watched either of those videos yet, but I’m guessing that’s where you crossed… I have gotten bicycles across there as well.

 

And sorry to be a nit-picker, but the bicycle on top of Mount Chiliad is a Mountain Bike, not a BMX… not really a big deal.

Well i thought of new challenge which came across to my mind while playing a chain game turn.

Can you take over all the rival gang territories in ONE GO and the conditions are;

1. This should be after the mission "RIOT".

2. No heavy weapons or explosives allowed(This means no HSRPG, Minigun, Rocket launcher, Flame thrower, Grenades, Satchel charges & Molotov cocktails) the exception being Tear gas.

3. No usage of proofed vehicles, Rhino, Hunter & Hydra.

4. Some of the prior missions have built-in gang wars like "Home coming", so you are allowed to take only one territory in "Home coming" & "Beat down on B-dup" & two in "Grove 4 life".

5. While defending territories you should not use the side mission trick like Vigilante/taxi, but get to the actual area under attack & defend it.

6. Now here comes the most important part, you should have a constant 4-star wanted level when starting the gang wars and it should never go down during the entire sojourn.

 

PS:If you are having any territory glitches all those territories are exempt from this challenge. So this is restricted only to Los Santos. You are also allowed to recruit any number of "Homies"(I think Seven is the maximum). Need less to say "No Cheats".

I got a Hydra from the Abandoned airstrip, flew it there, put on reverse thrusters until it hovered and then ditched. Simple.

LOL... I'm guessing that Benjimino probably meant using a fixed-wing aircraft (that doesn't have the ability to hover) for this challenge.

 

I went ahead and did this challenge with a Shamal; it's very easy... I landed at the very top-center of The Visage.

 

Jumping out of aircraft in San Andreas and GTA IV is something I do on a regular basis anyway, so it wasn't a big deal... sorry, I don't mean to downplay your challenge, but maybe try picking a spot that's a lot smaller or narrower instead, like maybe landing on top of the Pointy Building in San Fierro... that's the best I could come up with to make it more challenging.

Yeah, probably. It wasn't specified so....

That is a lot smaller than Ben's one. I probably couldn't be bothered with trying that because i'd die so many times and it would take so long that it wouldn't be worth it.

Far too challenging for me. You, however, could probably get it, or have done it, within a few tries.

 

Now, if we are allowed a helicopter for that challenge (landing on Pointy Building), it'd be alright. I've done that, i think.

Oh yeah, or that tall point next to the Big Ear where that building is that 'teleports' you up to the top. That's a pretty small target like the pointy building.

 

Here's just a what not challenge

 

Try to get both Ballas and San Fierro Rifa to attack you at once.

I've done that before for fun, so I don't have a screen, once Chain Game getds into Gang Wars for the second time this round I'll do it again, you start a gangwar with the ballas, sho ot the driver in the head and the other Ballas will keep shooting like its a drive-by, finish the gang war, get in the car, drive to SF then get out and go to the side of the car the Ballas is in and and yank him out of the car, then punch Rifa while the Ballas shoots you and challenge complete.

Are you saying to get the BMX across into Las Venturas, and then return with the same BMX? It sounds like you're saying it's okay to return with another vehicle.
