Slamman
I was just looking at vintage TV on YouTube, trying to find interesting cameos, the show in question for this was WiseGuy with Ken Wahl. the comments suggest that this was some quality TV writing for the time, I can't actually recall it much. I used to watch Stacy Keach in Mike Hammer, I recall The Equalizer as being an interesting show for me. I loved the zany humor of Sledge Hammer with David Rasche For more popular fare, Miami Vice and The A Team Pick what you'd say is the best and you'd still watch at the drop of a hat... makeshyft
I blasted through a disc of Knight Rider the other night, no word of a lie. I realised I hadn't opened my season 4 box, so on it went. I loved the show as a kid, and I still love watching it. There's something so ridiculous about the premise, and none of the characters ever realise this. Due to my age, I liked a lot of cartoons in the 1980s. Ghostbusters, The Real Ghostbusters and Astroboy were easily my favourites. I loved watching The Young Ones with my dad. Actually, we generally watched a lot more British TV than American. There are a bunch of Australian TV shows I could name, but won't as there's little chance non-Aussies would have heard of them. Slamman
As evidenced in this very forum by the announcement of the current Knight Rider, it's not done all too well in the ratings, but I see it's still on, and I watched it but I agree, the old one has such a great feel to it, the casting was top notch in my opinion! Much better then David's hyped role on Baywatch. It's amusing to see the old jokes play again and still be funny, the earliest of the series where he's asleep behind the wheel and the cops pull up on a deserted stretch of road, it was still fresh and funny and not something you'd expect from the much too serious new series version. Mike Tequeli
I remember watching this show once, and I thought it was a joke or something, like a fake sketch comedy thing on a sitcom. The dialogue was terrible and the plot stupid. I then realized it was new Knight Rider. Star Trek:TNG with Patrick Stewart, started out in '87 I think, I love that show. darthYENIK
The A-Team. The greatest show ever. But they never show it anymore. I need to pick up some DVDs.
Slamman
There was a 1980s show that was not a remake of Bewitched but it had a suburban family with a witch in it, it was cancelled in short order, but I thought it might have been good, can't even remember the name though. I thought that show was a bit like "Buffalo Bill" with Dabney Coleman, a show that wasn't bad but didn't get noticed. I see there's been some good DVD support of shows from the past, but still some as mentioned, namely Remington Steele...they neglected to release the full span of seasons (Hart to Hart being the other). I felt the humor was what made those shows fun to watch and even seeing them again, they still make you laugh.
BigNekkidSnake
Sanford and Son. I love that show. I'd say Mystery Science Theater 3000 but that started in 1990 something. EDIT..... I just realised Sanford and Son has been around since before the 80's (right?).... my bad. Edited February 3, 2009 by EricDraven_GTACrow

ryuclan
Although I was born in 1990 I still watched quite a bit of 1980's tv, mostly cartoons though. Tales from the Crypt Knight Rider Happy Days The Jetsons I also used to watch Little House on the Prairie quie a bit, it was quite interesting at the time. Well technically he did it through the 90's. From 1991 to 1995, but it's an 80's show haha.

It's supposed to be release summer 2010 or something. I heard it, but I heard ice cube was being considered for the role of Mr. T haha. I mean they do look a lot alike. *Ice Cube told the Los Angeles Times that he's still hoping to play Mr. T's famous TV role in director John Singleton's upcoming film version of "The A Team." He said: "Man, I am so ready to play ‘B.A.' Baracus. I was a big, big Mr. T fan. I mean, c'mon, Clubber Lang [in "Rocky III") was amazing. I even watched his Saturday morning show, but that was cheesy. I was like everybody else, I watched it for about six weeks and said, ‘Man this isn't any good.' But the 'A-Team,' I would love for this to happen." The rapper-actor-producer said he's already been talking to Singleton about the role. "It's the thing we've been talking about lately, the thing on the other side of the strike or no-strike. I think it could be great," Cube said. "I always look at how they did ‘Mission: Impossible' and even how they upgraded 'Batman' from what it was not that long ago. The key is the story and the director." Yeah he seems to really want the part. Also John Singleton is doing it so it should be at least decent. I haven't seen a bad Singleton movie yet. Groovy
Except that Singleton's not doing it anymore. Joe Carnahan's in final talks to be directing it right now. Dude directed Narc and Smokin Aces.

BenMc20
Did anyone see The Wraith, was made in 1986 two years before I was born. I think Charlie Sheen's car in that was awesome and the FX were pretty advanced for the eighties.
