Welcome GTAForumers, if you want to talk about the future of the GTA franchise, this is the right place.

 

The idea here is to promote discussion and not suppress it, but we do want to keep things kind of organized. Things can easily go in many different directions when talking about things that don't exist yet.

 

• There are two pinned topics that are sort of catch-all discussions about ideas and fan wishlists and locations for the next GTA installment. Generally, if you have a basic concept for a new GTA, or you want to mention that you'd like to see the next GTA in Vice City or London or on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, go ahead and post those in the pinned topics. Sometimes I see topics where enough effort and brain power was done to illustrate a concept, including maps and other graphics, and I think those are worthy of their separate topics. Any other random new topics that are made of posts that should be in the pinned topics will be locked.

 

• This place is an exchange of ideas. Put some thought into your posts, and if you disagree with someone else's idea, do it without flaming. This is against the rules of GTAF in general. Similarly, please leave the fanboy disputes somewhere else, preferably off GTAF entirely but definitely not in here.

 

• If you see spam topics or posts, do not reply to them. Report them. This doesn't mean reply with "lolreported" or something after reporting. Then you're spamming too. Report and don't pay the offending post any mind, including quoting it. If it's something I (or any global staff) have to remove from the original post, then the same has to be done with any replies. It's unnecessary.

 

• Reports will be answered as soon as possible; please do not use this feature to interact with any staff member for anything other than reporting posts. Anything else, use the PM feature. We want to be able to get right to what needs attention.

 

• Use spoiler tags where applicable when mentioning sensitive plot elements of past games, particularly IV which is rather new and hasn't been played by some people here, including myself. Spoiler tags go like this:

 

 

 

 

 

• Sometimes conversations within a topic can gradually change the focus of discussion from one thing to another, but try to keep things on the original topic as it is described in the header. On that note, nondescript topic headlines may be edited to fit the content of the topic.

 

• I've seen a lot of game concepts that have a lot of potential for a game outside of the scope of GTA. It's fun to talk about game ideas in general, but this is still the GTA: V subforum on GTAForums.com. If you are writing a story outline, make sure we can believe it as a GTA story and not one from Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil or something like that.

 

• All other GTAF rules apply here. Global moderators and administrators reserve the right to issue warnings to, or remove, members who break the rules. We currently have two GTA: V area moderators, K^2 and Unlimited who handle most of the reports in this section. Please treat them with the respect that should be given to members of this forum who are taking their time to keep a section orderly that can be chaotic at times.
