anus
Get the Core 2 Quad Q9550. Best 775 processor for your budget. Its got 12MB cache too and is a pretty good overclocker.

anus
Wow WTF. Yeah that's the same chip, no idea why its cheaper though . This chip is excellent for overclocking by the way, 4GHz should be easier to achive than with some other quads.
noid449
its cos its "oem" basically no heat sink or box just chip is that the fastest chip for that price range? they leap up after that .. still in two minds on that or another dont want to buy and then arrgghh there`s a better one lol to overclocking .. i like the sound of it the water cooling is already installed and waiting is there different versions just to make sure??? dont want a duffer Edited January 20, 2009 by noid449
anus
That is the fastest LGA775 chip for that price range. Period. The Q9550 is a f*cking beast, and you'll see just how beastly it is when you have it with you .

anus
Try the XtremeG XtremeG 185.20 drivers man. They're the 185.20 but modded and they give better performance. Just go to that site and choose the 185.20 and your OS version. Their main site is down atm.

Pretty damn awesome chip for the price. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/phenom...40,2114-19.html What about this one.? its 55 pounds cheaper and have dam good $peed Edited January 23, 2009 by GTA_NYC
anus
If you didn't notice, he already bought the Q9550, I was just asking how satisfied he was with it. He also already has an Intel motherboard, so it'll cost him a lot more to go with the Phenom II. The Phenom II also gets beaten by the Q9550 in performance.
