If you had one thing you love about GTA San Andreas, what would it be?

I would love the gang system in that game. My favourite thing is when you have a civilian, gang member or especially the police attacking you, you don't need to recruit homies into you crew to help you. I remember when I was in in a shootout with the police, I had a 7 man crew, and 6 cars filled with Grove Street Members were in the area as long as well as 6 groups of members in the area. It was a really fun shootout.

the fact that the game has miniguns, flamethrowers, military jets etc. you don't see these fun things in gta 4 or many other games....

The amount of vehicles in the game. I still remember how excited I used to get after spotting a car I had never seen before and then the chase to catch that car and drive it. I wanted to drive every single vehicle in the game. It was awesome!

The hood, the only thing that makes this game my favorite out of all GTA's. But it may not really be a feature, there are too many to just make one example but if I had to keep one of the extra features and get rid of anything else it would be planes.

The countryside and the desert, ofcourse. It's like a chance to get away from everyday and just relax.

Oh yeah, that was f*cking sick as well.

Not one, not two, but three whole cities at the push of a button.

When it came out, my favourite features were the swimming, climbing and also the bicycles.

I don't know if this counts as a feature, but I LOVE the diversity in the game... I have never played in a more complete (video game) envirornment. One day you're a simple hood, next you're a country cowboy... smile.gif

Customizing your cars, getting in a plane and just increase elevation and just jump out when your way up in the sky....Lots of stuff man.

There was this, and the expansive and diverse game world to take those cars and other vehicles. People complain about no planes in GTA3. but when you have a huge map like SA it makes having planes really worthwhile. Hope this is in the plans for future GTAs.

This....

I know in the past I've said some negative things about SA, but this is one thing that honestly makes SA stand out.

It actually feels like multiple games in one. No other sandbox game (Yes even my favourites VC, VCS, and IV) can touch SA when it comes to diversity.

I'v always liked the swimming for some reason just the feeling of hijacking a boat and taking it for my own. biggrin.gif

Swimming and climbing.

Swimming, because it means not having to buy all your guns back if you mess up getting off a boat, and climbing because it just makes chases a lot more interesting and feel more natural.

On the flip side, it gets a little old having people ram into you at 200mph any time you go into the mountains.

I'm torn between the amount of customization possible (clothes, appearance, cars - gang and street) and the size of the map. I think at a push, I could be happy with a smaller map if the customization was still there.

Is "variety" a feature? Everyone who plays through the whole game must hit a point where they switch from "what can I do" to "what CAN'T I do" and that moment feels great.

I guess the really amazing feature SA gives you is the fredom.

With a huge map, and a variety of choices, like Magic_Al says, it's a great fredom
