Omnia sunt Communia
Other than expanding The Triads from a single entity to several warring clans, do you think Rockstar will include any new gangs in CTW? Pretty much every portable game so far has introduced some new gangs to the city there were meant to portray, do you think CTW will be an exception? If so, what sort of gangs do you expect to see? Or what gangs would you like to see in Liberty City?
Coolyfett
Leeds claims that CTW is bigger than LCS & VCS. Also from the screens that have been released you can see at least 3 gangs in the screens. We don't know the names yet, but you can clearing see Huang is fighting some gangs in the screens. Mafioso86
Kikizo's preview listed out the following... Triads, Jamaicans, Spanish Lords, Midtown Gangsters, Mob, Irish American Killers, Angels of Death, Russian Mafia and African American. Don't know if things like Irish American Killers are official gang names... but maybe... it is all stuff we have seen before other than the "Midtown Gangsters." A few other previews have mentioned Korean Mob as well (maybe that's the midtown gangsters as in real life there is a small, but very upscale, K-town around 32nd or 33rd in Manhattan). That list can easily be broken down though: Triads: Obvious, really. Jamaicans: Uptown Posse (Little Jacob's gang) Spanish Lords: Seen in GTA IV (Manny and Lyle Rivas' gang) Midtown Gangsters: Korean Mob/The Comission Mob: Korean Mob/The Comission Irish American Killers: Obviously the Irish Mob Angels Of Death: Obvious, again Russian Mafia: Again, obvious African American: Can either be M.O.B., North Holland Hustlers or East Holland Drug Crew Nothing new, yet. Hopefully we'll be introduced to some new gangs will be introduced upon the game's release.

Edit: Ok apparently wonsu can mean either like an enemy/villain or in more modern language it's used as like the highest rank in the South Korean military... i guess like a general. Nodong means like work or labor... but it was also the name of those rockets the North Koreans were launching over Japan. Nothing all that interesting... I was thinking maybe it was like the Yakuzas Korean twin (which does exist... but i forget the name) but it isn't. I was thinking maybe it was like the Yakuzas Korean twin (which does exist... but i forget the name) but it isn't. Basically it means Labour Generals/Work Enemies? Sounds more of an informal name used by The Triads to describe them rather than an actual gang name. As for The Yakuza's "Korean Twin" I'm pretty sure that would still be The Yakuza. There are a large number of Koreans living in Japan and they are considered "outsiders" by the general Japanese public. Therefore they are picked up on by The Yakuza (who's general image is based around that of an outsider). There has even been an Korean Yakuza Boss, if I remember rightly. Kid SixXx
IIRC, the most literal translation of Wonsu Nodong is "working general." As opposed to "armchair generals," these guys are top-shelf soldiers that don't mind getting their hands dirty. Purely speculation but I think that given the name, these guys are probably some sort of paramilitary group kinda like Los Zetas in Mexico. Probably made of disgruntled SK or NK army.
