Sixty years later in 1935, the N.Y.Times printed a story about a man dressed in strange old-fashioned clothes who stepped in front of a car while crossing Times Square. He died instantly. The dead man was carried no identification and there was nothing in his pocket except some old bank notes from 1875.The police had no idea who the man was or why he weared such strange clothe, until a police officer decided to check the missing person file for 1875.In the file was a description of Mr gamin which matched the description of the dead man exactly. It was tthen that the questions beggining. Why Mr Gamin has dissapeared in 1875?How he suddently turned up in Times Square in 1935?Where he was for the sixty years and why his apperance wasn't changed?Mr Gamin really vanished into thin air or something unknown taked him into another dimmension?'' Girish
Doesn't the book tell you what exactly happened? What kind of an English text book is this? If the story is fictional, no one would know what happened.

agent17
Great Scott! But in all seriousness, the early 1900's were full of misconceptions in the news stories, it was most likely a drunk person.
Digïtál £vîl
The real mystery here is what f*cking English book are you using? Be it English as it may, the English in this English book is terrible! I love how "explanation" just becomes "explain". And "He never returned" becomes "He was never returned" What was this guy? An unwanted christmas present? I didn't know you could return people like a crappy holiday gift. Whoever wrote this English book seemed more interested in writing fictional stories and passing them off as real instead of presenting you with a book written in proper English. If this is what is taught to some people in class, I now understand why some people's English (as a second language) is so terrible. It isn't because they don't have a proper grasp on the language, they were just taught with extremely sh*tty material and thus never had a chance of understanding it. @Angelinho: You should find the author of your English book and throw it at his head. Guybrush Threepwood
I don't think my English Book lying... I beg to differ. Unless conclusive evidence, such as the two filed police reports, coroner's report and other assorted documents to prove this man's identity in both times can be handed over, your English book is a motherf*ckin' liar. TOGA62
has anyone else been completely unable to find any information regarding this "case"? I've tried a few different searches online for anything regarding this and have not found a single word about the guy or incident in question. how about taking a few pictures of the textbook so the rest of us can actually start to believe this was even in a book regardless of if it is true or not.
