Erick10444
I'm playing a modded version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I put some tracks in the User Tracks folder in the My Documents folder, but when I go into GTA SA and scan for new user tracks and go to the User Tracks radio station nothing plays but ads. All of the music files in the User Tracks folder are in MP3 format. I have GTA VC, GTA 3, and 3 GTA SAs installed on my computer. What could be the problem and how can I fix it? I am running Windows Vista Ultimate.
Girish
Are they shortcuts? If yes, try copying the actual files to the User Files folder. If that doesn't work, it might be a codec issue. Try converting to wav or ogg format. If that doesn't work either, you can try running the game in Windows 98 compatibility mode. But note that compatibility mode will change the location of your User track folder.
radioman
Have you tried doing an un-install/re-install, this time without mods? Also, how did you get SA installed 3 times on your computer?-Did you download the game? Have you tried it with only one(1) SA copy installed? Do you have WMP 10 or 11? Or I-tunes 7 or higher, or winamp, or Real Player? If you don't have at least WMP 10 or 11 AND I-tunes 7 or higher, than you do not have the proper codecs, as mentioned in the game's manual. Also, using shortcuts work the best, but make sure they are shortcuts to valid files-ie. the game will not recognize "protected" music files or shortcuts to "protected" files-ie. music downloads that are not I-tunes Plus format, Wal-mart MP3 downloads, or Amazon Downloads, as those are un-protected music downloads. Hope this helps.
