simkas
GTAIV was the least frustrating GTA for me. There just weren't any missions that kept annoying and had to re-do like 10 times, like half of the missions in San Andreas.
MP5
The missions are actually rather easy to complete. It's only a matter of hiding behind the right covers and aiming for the head. It's having to nurse Niko's friendships that occasionally piss me off. Roman, Brucie and Packie in particular would sometimes wait for you on another island, resulting in occasional instances of being late (and a slight drop in their like and respect rating); Little Jacob and Dwayne are far more forgiving in this case. nlitement
Play better. The missions are extremely easy. The hardest mission was probably the biker metro chase mission, because you could f*ck up so easily if you went too fast or too slow; on the other hand Snowstorm and the bank mission were the easiest. FiliGTAFan
I found GTA IV really easy, I just breezed through the whole story without much difficulty. But you just need to practice or something so that you could get better. Have you played a few of the past GTA's before?
Vercetti27
Snowstorm and the bank mission were the easiest. Other way around m8.
AnotherDave
I don't remember any mission being a pain in the ass like some in San Andreas were. In fact I just looked at my stats and it says I've attempted 94, passed 94 and failed 0 so I'd say this is the easiest GTA to date.
TECHN9CiAN
The only GTA IV missions that have frustrated me were the mission where you HAVE to chase a guy... you can fill their heads with over 200 bullets, but you can't kill them until the target reaches a certain location. The two that angered me the most were the ones where you chase the bikers down the subway and can't kill the second guy untill he's out of the subway & the one where you chase Ray's goons, who stole Ray's diamonds, and can't kill them until they crash in the park. GRRAAAH! They're so annoying.
OverTheBelow
Once I've been doing one of Bernies missions. The police were on me unintentionally. The marker was literally in front of me, I attempted to run to it and then right when I get almost there a fat shotgun wielding police officer kills me like a yard away from the f*cking thing. ugh
Forcefield
chase Ray's goons, who stole Ray's diamonds, and can't kill them until they crash in the park. GRRAAAH! They're so annoying. Really? They're not hard to keep up with, the chase doesn't last very long, and then it's as simple as killing about four people.

It annoys me because on the first and second time I played that mission, I managed to kill all the passangers in the car, but not the driver, even though I know I hit him with plenty of head shots... and as soon as th car crashes, the 3 guys I had already killed are running out of the car revived! Reality... my ass!
The Stoneman
The mission where you had to break into some place and destroy all the vans filled with coke was the most frustrating for me. I had to re-do it 3 times after I got so far. You couldn't see where the enemies were and there was hardly any cover, and to make it even worse if you're too slow destroying to vans, one escapes through the drive way. So, I got fed up of this mission after 3 times, so I went to the weapon shop and bought $70,000 worth of ammunition and armor and when I got to the compound, I blocked the driveway with three cars. I ended up completing the missions with about an inch of health left. But, by far the most frustrating part about GTA IV is the friends system, I do like the new feature but I absolutely hate it when your friends call at the most inappropriate times and when you quite rightly turn down their offer to go out, they start to dislike you, but other that that, GTA IV wasn't as frustrating as the other GTA's. computer g3mer
Chasing the guy on the subway was easy if you have a good aim, I think it was pretty good, I killed him halfway in the tunnel. The most frustrating mission was the phil bell mission where you had to chase the guy in this massive house and there were about 30 people shooting at you, but the more frustrating the mission, the better it feels when you complete it. That's another frustrating thing... when cops pop out of nowhere and kill you from your blind side. Now that I think about it, every time that I have been killed in GTA IV, it has always been by some cop that pops out of nowhere... That "Grand Theft Awesome IV" flash vid was not far off on that point.
Powdinet
The most frustrating missions for me were Snow Storm and the one you had to chase a guy in the tunnel. I completly the last one totally by random. After he left the tunnel I was a bit behind, so he had a very big lead. I don't remember how, but my bike crashed somewhere a bit after and I thought the mission had been failed. With a bit of hope that I could still get him, I started running in his direction. Soon, the biker turned into my street and I knew it was my last chance, so I grabbed my SMG and started shooting at him.(Headshot)

Yeah, your friends should not call you. If so, very rarely. You should only contact them. Not the other way around. MOVING LIKE BERNIE
Slamman
GTAIV was the least frustrating GTA for me. There just weren't any missions that kept annoying and had to re-do like 10 times, like half of the missions in San Andreas. Actually, the main point I'd make is going back to GTA3 and Vice City, the missions were harder because of the sheer lack of control, in GTA4 it's cops spawning or the hurting cover system, again more control, more leeway, more advantage. Simple equation as to how tough a game is, no matter WHAT the game!
Rashon.
Nah, this GTA isn't so frustrating. If there was no cover system, it might have.
tommy69
i guess this game is a little frustrating because of the friendship system, but its not like the past gtas, which had loads of bulls***, in particular some missions that many people got pi**ed at. Other than that its gotta the best gta up to date.
Slamman
I'm guessing the novelty of travelling in their created universe is not so much a seen 'pain' to Rockstar's Houser Brothers and Aaron Garbut, The Benz, etc. Obviously with added friend events, one is travelling back and forth, back and forth, and often there can be the real life tedium of such events! I think the next GTA will not replicate the current formula, but Sam Houser's opinion as I mentioned before, is relationship building echoes that in real life, and he feels it's important that you value the relations to the other characters you involve yourself with. Take for example the miniscule observance of following or leading characters around with you, this is not without problems, but compared to GTA's San Andreas, I think it's a very marked improvement alone. Algonquin Assassin
Nah I think this has been the least frustrating GTA. Only Three Leaf Clover got me annoyed, but the rest of the game didn't get my blood boiling which is a good thing. Now SA to me is the most frustrating. I started a new save in August, and for the life of me I can't get passed "Life's a Beach", and "Wrong Side of the Tracks". I've finished the game before, but for some reason I can't get passed these two. I get so annoyed I switch it off. Actually I remember many times throughout SA where I wanted to break my PS2 controller in half, and smash my TV. So for frustration factor SA wins hands down. LitoBX
GTA IV was because you were actually able to do normal things like go behind cover and climb.
TMR2007
Easiest GTA ever, my friend. The only problems I had was on Snow Storm, whereas in previous GTA's I found myself regularly having to replay missions due to failure - albeit I was a few years younger, but still. Yep, San Andreas, Vice City & VCS had more frustrating missions than any in GTA IV(Flying School, N.O.E., Grove4Life, Wu Zi Mu, The Driver, Demolition Man, Unfriendly Competition, Light My Pyre, etc.) GTA IV was a cakewalk compared to those. Exactly, to be the missions in 4 are the easiest, as long as you use cover and take your time to shoot everyone in the head before moving closer/closer cover position its very easy, only problems I ever had was with friends doing stupid things and not using cover enough, but even then I worked out with most of them if you avoid taking out the enemy closest to your friend they stay behind the cover they started behind. So I shot everyone else, then lastly take out the guy closes to friend.

Capricornus
The missions are easy indeed, but there are some fustrating parts, like when the AI of one of your allies becomes all stupid and sh*t, running into crossfires and what not. Other than that, easy stuff. Snowstorm and Three Leaf Clover were great, fun missions, and could be difficult. But they can be completed in the first try if you know how to play the game
