Digitized nipples FTW I mean sh*t if R* does that I'll buy another copy of this game... even though I already own it. Just to support the nipple industry. YUCK! . No more games for PC? Oh No................... I hate console! I hate consoles too. Makes me feel like I am on a MAC.. so controlled. It isn't your machine you cannot control the machine. No fun. I like PCs for the speed and the overclocking. PC hardware has already beaten consoles.. but the software on consoles if far better when it comes to being clean and fast. Nvidia are going nowhere, their GPU is being used in the PS3, that provides high volume sales, with a better RoI than a PC gfx card. 20 years ago the PC (as in IBM PC clone) was a joke when it came to gaming, 10 years ago it was at or near its peak, today software houses and hardware manufacturers seem hell bent on making it become a joke again. There is a lot more going on in the room. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures. The middle machine is my monster. It can control all 4 monitors. And my speakers are all around, the sub woofer might not be showing in any of the pictures, can't remember? GTA4 runs great on my dual core... I'm happy with it... when a game comes out that demands quad core technology I'll prolly buy it. But for now I'm happy. It runs fine on my system man... I don't have to upgrade yet. But this thread is not about systems... it's about the effect or inferred effect of piracy on PC gamers. But I don't think that there is going to be much more input into this issue; I think that maybe this thread should be locked. Does anyone have any new input into why devs treat PC gamers as pirates? It would never use any more than 60% of total cpu power across all 4 cores and on an i7, a true 4 core chip, it only uses around 30% of combined power. Products for the PC are rarely optimized the first time around. Get used to it because you are a member of an Elite Beta Testing Crew. Youre completely wrong m8, it does use all four cores, i use a G15 + Everest Ultimate monitoring the use of each core. It stays near 70%, up to 90%. I used affinity to disable two cores and run GTA 4, GTA 4 runs like sh*t, i lost like 17 FPS and the two cores get a 96 - 100% use. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I totally agree. SecurRom and DRM gave me the most problems. I have the original game, managed to load it after disable virual devices and a bluetoth dongle I have, wrote for them in another thread, and yes I admit, I download and played a piracy copy wich is bypass DRM and securRom and all the online things I need to sign in before I play the game. and game load without problems. So now tell me why I bother next time to buy a \game wich give to me various problems? So PIRACY I don't think it kill PC gaming. Look at the titles that already out and already developed for PC. And you see that quallity titles can sell quite well. SPORE,SIMS, FALLOUT3,CRYSIS SAN ANDREAS, VICE CITY, too mention just few titles from present and past that went well on sales. The point is none of the cores run at 100% with GTAIV. The programs I use at work that fully utilise all 4 cores are video rendering programs and SQL, they will max out all 4 cores the instant the apps are run, there are a good few others out there and GTAIV is not one that I'd class as fully utilising all 4 cores, look at how the i7 CPU scores 30% on average, only uses 78% on my [email protected] , 100% when clocked down to 3.3GHz. To reiterate my initial point, it doesn't need 4 cores, 2 highly clocked will do more than it can use and doesn't max out a single core when on a quad, that is clear. To only use 78% of my cpu shows there is something clearly rotten in Denmark with this port, though it once used up to 95% in a benchmark on my Vista64 system, usually 80-85% on Vista64, though that's more than likely the other sh*t that Vista lays on you, regardless of what you disable in services. Wrong again, get a quad, oc it to 4Ghz, run the game - check the performance. Then disable two cores, using the same clock and GFX settings, run again - youll face the truth. GTA 4 has a great mutli core optimization, itll use all four cores. There is no way out of this - whitout a quad you have a sh*t game experience playing this game. I agree with you on the virtual boobs debate - there are many games i have only persisted with (like Tomb Raider) because of the quality of the pixelated honkers. If only Rockstar had not wasted 200k on the gheyness that is securom and instead invested the money on nipple development, we would not have to put up with big black electricians tape over the strippers boobs.
