Hi,

I'm really looking forward for China Town Wars to come out, so just today i started working on

a digital painting using photoshop and a graphics tablet.

Here is the screen cap that i took that i will be working over the top of (NOTE: Huang Lee will be in the PMP, not Niko).

(PS: Dont know why but Imageshack shrunk the screenshot when the original was 1440X900 pixels. ??)

Below is most of the background painted in allready:

Omnia sunt Communia

I would recommend using thumbnails for the sake of member's with a slow internet connection. Other than that, it's a very good start. You're more likely to get constructive criticism in the Visual Arts forum than you are here.

All should be ok tomorrow as i am getting CS4, which is pretty exciting!

Cool, it'll be interesting to watch, this. icon14.gif Also, do please remember to host your images as thumbnails, like this:

It helps keeps page stretching to a minimum, and it's so much easier for our friends using dial-up.

The Horror Is Alive

Why the f*ck do people use PNGs? JPEGs are so much better, slightly worse quality, but the file size can't be beat.

You can set the JPEG quality to 100% and still get really good quality, at sometimes 20% of the file size of PNGs confused.gif

Image isn't appearing, because imageshack is stupid and sucks.

Art and pictures is about quality, not size.

You view images, not worry about their size.

That's like saying why use MP3 over WMA?

Because it's more widely available and

easier to use for/on external devices.

Anyway, yeah the network has timed out on

the picture at the moment; although I got a

glimpse of it this morning, and it looks good

at the moment; keep it up fatlittlenick icon14.gif .

I can see it fine confused.gif

That's because the network is no longer timing out; it's not a permanent thing.

Just like what happened to Google a few minutes ago with that 'Malware' problem.

I can see it now also.

Instead of posting small images, just use the thumbnail link as Masterkraft suggested. Just because it’s not advised to post such big images in full size doesn’t mean we don’t want to see the full size.

I have a suggestion for you. I already have two finished female characters from the Chinatown wars. I wanted to make wallpapers from them, but I don’t have decent backgrounds. I just can’t be bothered making them and therefore both of them became another projects of mine. Your background is just what I was looking for. If you’re interested we can merge my characters with your backgrounds. You currently working on one, but if you’ll agree and make another one we’ll have two amazing wallpapers. The official ones are a bit simple.

Don’t think that just because I mainly make sigs, avatars and banners I don’t have few good pieces. I just never could find time and will to release any of them. Perhaps this could be the start. Let me know here or through PM.

Looks really good! Almost authentic.

Maybe you should stop with the background now though, the official GTA artwork doesn't have much detail in the background.
