After 30 minutes of play my stats just go way down, is this normal? After about 5 minutes of play: Statistics Average FPS: 39.53 Duration: 37.24 sec CPU Usage: 86% System memory usage: 78% Video memory usage: 61% Graphics Settings Video Mode: 1280 x 720 (60 Hz) Texture Quality: Medium Render Quality: High View Distance: 19 Detail Distance: 25 Hardware Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 Video Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra Video Driver version: 185.20 Audio Adapter: SoundMAX HD Audio AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6400+ After about 30 minutes of play: Statistics Average FPS: 31.17 Duration: 37.54 sec CPU Usage: 74% System memory usage: 94% Video memory usage: 89% Graphics Settings Video Mode: 1280 x 720 (60 Hz) Texture Quality: Medium Render Quality: High View Distance: 19 Detail Distance: 25 Hardware Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 Video Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra Video Driver version: 185.20 Audio Adapter: SoundMAX HD Audio AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6400+ I have every unneeded process turned off that was runing in the background, in fact i created a whole profile for this at startup. TruSake Posted January 19, 2009 Share Posted January 19, 2009 Easy, it's because after 30 minutes of play, the game compiles a load of information and doesn't let it go, as you can see both your ram and video memory gains usage with time and the cpu slows down its performance because there's not enough free memory to go around. An issue which Rockstar didn't fix before its release (among hundreds of others) Only solution is to restart your game when you notice a slowdown. either way you're running the game faster than most people, I get 19fps and less as I play, so consider the gameplay you're running good enough.
