Guru Josh
Not sure if this is the right section to post on, but here goes anyway. Firstly, I am no mad gamer. I only own one game which is GTAIV and I only bought a PS3 for that game. I am fortunate in that, whilst I am not loaded by any means, I can, at a push, afford an xbox 360 just for the L&D content. My question is which XBOX do I need for that? I dont envisage buying too many more games that GTAIV and the L&D download. I am a total noob regarding consoles and gaming so could you tell me if I need the Core system or the Elite or the Premium etc? Also, I have seen pre-owned xbox from reputable sellers. Are they reliable, ie RROD? One more question: I connect my PS3 online just by disconecting my ethernet cable from my PC straight to my PS3. Can I do that with an xbox as well? I really would appreciate constructive replies. Cheers.
Omnia sunt Communia
There is a gaming section further down the page, I'm sure you will get a much better response in there (just report your post and ask a moderator to move it there). As for which X-Box you'll need; I'd go for the Elite. TLAD is a download, that will need to be saved onto your hard drive. The Core system does not come with an hard drive, so that would be something extra to buy. You will also need a X-Box LIVE Account (Gold, I think). This is something you pay for monthly, and costs around £7.50 (in the UK). If you do not wish to play online, then you can simply pay for one month, download TLAD and not buy another month's worth of subscription.

mr_bungle
No, to download stuff off the marketplace, you only need a Silver account. You would need a gold account to play games online. I, myself personally would'nt buy a second hand 360, only if it was the never model. I would go out and buy the cheapest 360 pack, which comes without the HDD and then maybe buy a second hand harddrive for the download and stuff. I think the Elite may be a bit overboard considering he only really wants GTA IV and TLAD (And the second Episodic Content). The 60GB Pro Console should have plenty of space for what he's looking for. You could also buy an Arcade and go to Xbox.com and get a refurbished HDD from Microsoft, it's only 20GB but that should be enough for what you want. You also probably wouldn't need a Gold account, but I think unless you buy a card with a code to redeem, you'd have to wait a week or so after it comes out for Gold users. GT409
For the ethernet cable, make sure the Xbox is close enough to your PC for connection. My Xbox can't reach my PC from the HD TV. I have to move it to a non-HD for a connection.
