Neu_Lyf
i aint no modder or programmer, just a desperate gamer thats all and this aint no mod neither, just some work arounds that may help you play with your steering wheel/controller, you might have tried this but i'm just trying to help.. ok first up you need a program called joytokey (awesome program) http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-.../JoyToKey.shtml then you gotta configure it, you can bind your axis or any buttons on your controller to keys (such as w, a or any key) ok now for the configuring part (find what is the value or button number of your gas pedal/ any button to your controller the one you need to configure, from the GAME CONTROLLERS utility in control panel) Open up joytokey.. 1. Go to file -> Delete selected configuration (delete the default config) 2. Go to file -> Create new configuration 3. Select what button or axis on the joystick/controller you want to configure and double click it for eg. i'm going to configure the gas pedal which is the 5th button in my game controllers utility 4. So i select the button 4(in joytokey),i double click it.. a window pops up stating choose a function to assign, under setting for keyboard emulation, in the first text box i type the letter W and click ok (w is default for acceleration in gta 4) 5. and presto you can open up a notepad and check it, by pressing the gas pedal, you'll find that w is being printed on the notepad, if it does it means you have sucessfully configured the settings, you can do this for every button, i use my joypad to even operate the computer (really fun) !!!! most important, due to the superb patch rockstar made it makes directx controllers go hay wire, so the work around is this 1. unplug any controllers before starting the game. 2. after loading and when you see niko, press escape and alt+tab out 3. plugin your controller and start joytokey if its not on already 4. alt+tab back and presto free gaming without the screen going around like niko's drunk or something.... enjoy.......
