1) currently only via ini. If I have some time left, I will make a save settings function that works like in IV, but failing time, you will need to set options in the ini.

2) yes it's not done yet, but will definitely be part of initial release.

I am still working on it, as it lacks quite a few options I think need to be in.

I might add some stuff during the next four days, and then release it as is.

I notice the neons are bleeding light into the interior. Are you still using the old IV method of attaching light sources to the bottom of the car? Current GTA has built in neons with options for front, rear and sides.

In addition; GTAV has a built in custom car paint system. It's only usually applied via crew colors, but if you could add a paint option for custom RGB/HEX values for cars in-game that'd be awesome for replicating movie cars or real paint color codes.

Yes the neons is IV code, and I lack time to research whatever they do in V, it will have to do for now.

In regards to the car colors, I have replicated the LSC car color menu AND give you the ability to set custom RGB colors from an array of 455 colors that are separate from what the game uses. The save function will correctly save those to slots for later reload.

Neons shouldn't be too difficult at all. Call _SET_VEHICLE_NEON_LIGHTS_ON(vehicle, id, enabled), where ID's 0-3 are left, right, front and back respectively. Then call _SET_VEHICLE_NEON_LIGHTS_COLOR(vehicle, r, g, b) to set the color.

Great, I just searched in the original natives.h and it isn't there, so I have obtained the native def from native db and will try if I can make it work.

OK works, although I think I liked the old neon better, will give you a choice.

TheAtmosphere

Something that would be great if you could set out an area full of enemies and then trigger them to attack you, instead of them attacking you as soon as you're spawned.

So you could set out like battle zones and stuff and then trigger it.

When it comes to bodyguards/ped spawning, can we customize the appearance of characters with multiple options, like Lamar or Jimmy, or the other protagonists?

Hey sjaak327 will you be able to add animations from Gta iv to the SNT for V as well as all Gta V animation? Gta Iv had a lot of great animations

He would only be able to add them if they already exist in the game.

Yes that's already in, just as it was in the IV trainer :)

Edit: not automatically though, you need to load the slot yourself.

Regarding animations, I am just a programmer not some sort of magician, I cannot add what's not there.

having said that, yesterday I loaded a list of little over 13.000 animations to the trainer, that's double the number from IV, so I would say that there's plenty of choice.

As regards to bodyguards /peds, yes you can change appearance and do pretty much everything that was already in the IV trainer.

Okay, so it works the same way as IV?... Set outfit, Save outfit *outfit is changed when switching to Trevor* load previously saved outfit... win win?

^ yep, that is exactly how it works and it is already in the trainer, as I see it as an important part of model customization, or whatever you want to call it.

Does this mean you have access to all the animation names? I thought they were pretty hard to find at current stages

Thanks a lot for your hard work sjaak327. I have a question about the weapons menu of the trainer. Will we be able to edit the weapons attachments and tints? I just want to have all the weapons from the beginning and be able to add flashlights, bigger clips, grips, scopes, ect, and also edit the color of the guns. Thanks again man.

That sounds great. Sorry to ask yet another question, but are those 455 RGB colors editable in-game? Like you set the three RGB numbers with the trainer then save to a slot under a name? Or do you have to go to the .ini file while the game's not running and change the RGB values there for the 455 extra colors? I like to experiment a lot in-game with real paint codes you see and it'd be a bit cumbersome to have to keep relaunching and quitting to put in custom paints to try if done via the .ini is all.

Great, I just searched in the original natives.h and it isn't there, so I have obtained the native def from native db and will try if I can make it work.

Awesome! Glad to hear that you've snagged the V neons properly along with the old, otherwise I'd have been driving to the mod shop for those, heh!

Edit: Thanks for responding so well to fan requests and feedback by the way. This is by far my favorite trainer in IV so it's great to hear some popular suggestions being implemented into V's iteration.

The goal here is that you don't have to go to LS customs, I hope both the car color menu and the vehicles mod menu do just that, they provide all functionality LSC provides (or at least what I can gather).

Regarding colors, currently I have a RGB array with 455 colors, they can be used for neons, tyre smoke, menu text/highlight color and car colors (the last one in addition to the LSC colors). Unfortunately that's the choices you currently have.

I could add the ability to actually simply set the three RGB values by hand, as that is what I guess you are after ?

I think they're asking for a simple custom color slot that you can set the RGB values for in the actual menu itself. Could definitely see a use for that. Having both a ton of colors and being able to use your own when you want would offer maximum choice for everybody.

Yep that's exactly what I'm after, heh.

I have a collection of accurate paint codes for movie cars, and I also like to check official paint code websites for vintage cars to give the in-game cars realistic colors for their time period. Given I go back and forth a lot testing colors (and that I convert most colors to HEX or RGB) being able to just "set" the colors myself in-game at a moments notice would be perfect.

What'd be ideal is to be able to say, input three RGB colors manually in-game, hit a button and have it save that to a custom user color list under a custom name. So for example I could put in the three RGB values, then save it under "1973 Corvette Flame Red" or whatever I want.

That said I'd be just as happy to have the option to input RGB or HEX in-game without being able to save them if it's too much trouble. As long as I can set them manually in-game I'd be pleased!

Indeed! Tons of colors are great for the average person, but if you want a specific known paint color, or named color (such as Cerulean) it's great to be able to manually input them in-game.

Will there be a way to change the paint type? I like having all my cars in matte black colour

Theoretically, setting the pearlescent to 0 (or disabling it entirely) should result in a matte color. He says that he's got alpha in, so that is probably possible.

So I guess all the editing or adding the vehicle sub menu and paint options well set the release back a while?

"You don't understand! I could've had class. I could've been a contender. I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am."

Nope as most of it is already done, including the car spawn sub menu stuff. I changed it to be fairly easy to change and that pays off now.

Paint options are great as it is, will add the RGB manual enter stuff, that won't take long.

Sjaak, I presume this won't happen in the initial release, but will the trainer eventually provide access to the massive amount of animations like the GTA IV one did?
