[IV|REL] Simple Trainer for GTAIV

I don't know if my question is apropriate or not, but is this trainer working in MP ?

Trainer works for 1.0.1.0, 1.0.2.0, 1.0.3.0, 1.0.4.0, 1.0.0.4, 1.0.6.0, 1.0.7.0 and 1.1.1.0 and 1.1.2.0

EFLC. it will support Single Play, and Free and Party mode in both Live and Lan.

I believe this isn't the right place, but since it's relevant I'd like to ask you guys a question. I currently play the game on the latest patch to record replays of multiplayer stunting sessions, but I want to record my clips using ENB. So, is it safe to have two installations? What I mean by that is, could I install a version of IV with Patch 5 to a different location without it interfering with the default location? I worry that the settings file would mess up, or would that not happen?

Yes the setting file would mess up, but there is a simple way around it:

 

c:\users\username\appdata\local\rockstar games\gtaiv\settings contains the settings files. Say you have installed patch 7, now copy this directory to the same location, rename it settings p7, install patch 5, and then depending on what patch you play you switch the two directories.

 

You also need to switch the main game directory in the same way.

I had the 1.6 patch installed and the 5.9trainer worked perfectly but when I updated to 1.7, the game stopped working. I click to play, social club appears I click "PLAY" then it says "GTA IV stopped working."

 

Any suggestions? :S

Thanks! One question though, when you say I have to switch the main directory as well, do you mean that I have to rename the directory in use to 'GTA IV' each time, rather than just leaving each directory with two different names? Would it not work if I just switched the settings directory alone?

If you are running two different version of IV (say patch 4 and patch 7) then you need to always launch the game from the directory which is set in the registry (which would be c:\program files (x86)\rockstar games\grand theft auto IV, or whatever directory you installed it to).

 

Now, say you have IV patch 7 already, then to use and install Patch 4, you would typically rename the patch 7 game to grand theft auto IV P7, install the game again (using repair), this would install IV original, patch it to patch 4. To start patch 7 again (which hasn't been touched at all), you rename grand theft auto IV to grand theft auto IV P4 and rename grand theft auto IV p7 back to grand theft auto IV and then it will launch patch 7.

I can't access the ingame menu - F2, F3, F4 and F5 all make me crouch instead of doing what they should.

Hey Sjaak, glad to see you're still helping people out in this thread, this is by far the best trainer mod out there for GTA IV.

 

Can you let me know where the key bindings for Turn Engine On/Off etc are specified? I looked through the trainer.ini but couldn't find the option to change it there. Is it possible to edit these bindings to other keys?

Have just uploaded new version:

 

Changes from version 5.9

-Regrouped driver settings into it's own separate submenu on bodyguard menu.

-Select Specific Ped, you can select a specific ped, and after selected, you can use the normal functions (like move ped, speech menu, clothes menu, animations) on that selected ped.

-Issue with added cars and vehicle components fixed.

-The attach car to skylift has been added for IV and TLAD trainers (M+num8), ability to set the skylift model name in all three trainer.ini files.

-Nitro can now be limited, including waiting time for reloading (and nitrol level idicator), by setting NitroLimit=1 in defaults section of trainertbogt.ini. (or changing it in game).

you can also use L+num2 when limit nitro is enabled to fast reload. Finally you can set the color for the nitro level indicator in game.

-added some "missed" headsets defined as wrist in clothes menu.

 

@gtavicer9, this function is using two keys, and only one can be customized.

 

 

@Taggart25, seems to me the trainer doesn't even load, post logfiles if you expect help, asilog.txt + scripthook.log.

Thanks for the help, sjaak! Nice one on the nitro limit, as a stunter it was annoying that nitro could go past the max speed of the car, so we had to do it in race to be legit . Awesome work

Why do people expect anyone to be able to help when the only information is "It does not work".

 

ONE post above yours, I tell someone to post logfiles, you would think that might be something you want to do as well ?

Odd, the primary download link doesnt work and the mirror download still has version 5.9 and there is not 6.0 version down in the gtagarage downloads.

Yeah, AFTER I already uploaded the trainer, I found a very small issue, I therefore deleted the files, and recompiled the trainer, the issue is now fixed, and the upload is available again

First off, great trainer, thanks. I have 5.9 installed (6.0 must have been posted after I went to bed last night, lol). Anyway, 6.0 may fix this but I'm unable to trigger any missions. I can do it manually with the selector, but would you know what option might disable the ability to trigger missions? The mission that wouldn't trigger was "No Way on the Subway" from Ray. I manually triggered it and completed it, but the next one won't trigger either.

 

Any thoughts?

Can you use your phone ?, if not, disable phone sleep mode (numpad -). That's the only thing I can think of that would prevent mission triggers.

 

@afekio, to use this trainer only 1.1.1.0 and 1.1.2.0 will work, original EFLC will NOT work.

 

@xmagicboyx, LOL, I just released 6.0 a few hours ago. No I will not have much time the comming months to add new features, to be honest, I think this trainer has more then enough features, I wouldn't even know what more to add.

Dont think so, its just another effect in the game and all the effects are, if im right, texture based, and cannot change color, only for the light coming from it.
