markmono
I recently switched to Windows XP x64, which gives a great improvement in GTA IV's gameplay, but after 5-10mins of play the majority of textures go invisible. Have tried most recent Catalyst drivers and previous versions, both with the same problems, and any other game runs perfectly normal. anus
Try the "-nomemrestrict" command line or the "-availablevidmem 4.0" command. This happens because the game is not fully utilizing your memory I think. You could also uninstall your drivers, run DriverCleaner to clean out anything ATI. Restart your PC and then install the latest Catalyst 8.12 drivers. Good luck.
copperwire93
haha.... i had the same problem too. Try update graphics driver for 64 or update your windows. I already tried that but still got the problem so i reformat to 32bit. Maybe you want to use vista 64 instead.
