supertin
Here's a weird bug... I can't get a wanted level at all. No, I didn't cheat in any way. And the effect is following me through saves. It started when I was collecting pigeons. Somewhere around the 60-70 mark I noticed the cops didn't seem to mind me shooting the birds anymore. Around the 150-160 level I noticed I did something that would normally be instant wanted (ran over a cop from memory), and nothing... Which is when I realised something was up, and was about 10 saves after it had actually started. I've actually walked into the airport and various police stations and started shooting cops, and they freak out like regular peds. It's weird... Oh, and you can actually help the cops kill guys that start shooting at them, which is cool. Anyone else had this? Apparently I can fix it by killing Niko, but I don't think I will
MacoroniCheese
You ever find a reason/fix for this? I'm having the same exact issue. No mods installed, no cheats, trainers, cracks etc.
luceberg
This is down to a corrupted gamesave. I had it happen and I worked out that it was caused by running the benchmark and then playing the game afterwards. At least, I think that was the reason. You will have to go back to a save point before it happened.

supertin
This is down to a corrupted gamesave. I had it happen and I worked out that it was caused by running the benchmark and then playing the game afterwards. At least, I think that was the reason. You will have to go back to a save point before it happened. Never figured it out, but this sounds about right... I ran the benchmark a number of times when I first got the game, but due to a busted CPU, I usually got a BSOD towards the end of the benchmark run. It would have been around the time my game lost the ability to get a wanted level that I finally worked out the CPU was the problem and ordered a new, faster model... And of course, having got a faster CPU, I immediately ran the benchmark - and then loaded my save. If I had the game installed still, I'd be in there confirming it now... But I don't, so I won't Edit: As for accidentally activating cheats, doubt it. GTA4 cheats are phone numbers - and doesn't it tell you when you active them? And say something in the stats page about cheating? Edited May 3, 2013 by supertin
