I don't think it does, I think 'Rockstar Support' is just what they call their junk folder in Outlook. I think they have gotten so many e-mails from angry users that they've selected everyone that's not on their 'contact list' as spam. And sometimes when they're bored they open up some e-mails in the junk folder and have a laugh "lol look at this idiot what are we suppose to do about it, memory leak lol, go get me another donut Pete!" - delete. Seriously! I've been sending 3 e-mails to Rockstar and explained my game issues and included all the files they asked for in their support instructions, it looked really serious and I was really expecting an answer! But I didn't so I sent another e-mail and asked the status of my case, cause I did receive an e-mail letting me know that I will receive an answer in 24 hours, but no reply of course! So I sent another one and asked them politely 'if you can't suggest a solution for my problem please just let me know' Do you think they replied? What is your experience of Rockstar Support? Anyone else feeling stupid about really thinking they were gonna reply you? (Like a support unit is expected to, I work at a support myself and we always follow up on our cases no mather what!) Not only that, do you know how many idiots are out there right now setting their view distance to high at 800x600? Let alone the problems they are facing being equally absentminded? Call them on the phone, you will get an answer... They were even going 24/7 in the office the first 2 weeks of the game release. The T2 support unit is quite good, actually. Its been three weeks since my support request and no response. I sent them all the neccesary info, DXdiag, screens, etc. and yes my issue is with the game. Mainly it not being playable on a machine that well exceeds the system requirements. And no im not a moron setting my view distance al the way up at 800x600 resolution. The game is equally unplayable whether I have the graphics settings all on the highest setting or all on the lowest setting. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I asked them why my USB modem always disconnects when I run the game, and they solved it - just a hardware driver update, which is pretty underwhelming. tvitch Posted January 19, 2009 Share Posted January 19, 2009 (edited) yeah, they exist, but after my experience with them, i can safely say that theyre utterly f*cking garbage. i have a problem with my game deciding to randomly crash to desktop with no errors after anywhere between 1 minute to an hour ish. i explained this to them in an email, they asked for a dxdiag & all my detailed system info, everything seemed updated & properly sorted, i gave it to them, they came back at me with update your sound card, dx & video card drivers.. i explained to them i had already quite recently done just that before sending them the email, as another game i was playing at the same time forced me to update all my sh*t to work around some issues. they were just like, update all your drivers man & send us a dxdiag again. & i was like, but they are all f*cking updated man & i just sent you one. do they honestly think after me reading all the suggestions & apparent fixes posted around on the net & the requirements on the box etc & trying so many other weird additional different things that i would have forgotten to update my video & audio drivers? i mean, f*cking come on, what a cop out / excuse / cover up. this happened a few times, just me continually updating my drivers over & over again, basically overwriting the last installed drivers with the same bloody ones even though they were all up to date in the first place, & sending them what must have been the exact same dxdiag info again & again & all they did was keep coming back at me with "do this sh*t weve told you to do heaps already again, install some later than latest software that weve dreamed up in our imaginations, were brain dead morons..." then i finally spit the dummy with them, in an honestly fairly mature & appropriate way all things considered, which i think was more than fair enough & they just stopped writing back. rather scummy useless ripoff merchant turds imo.
