Omnia sunt Communia Posted January 17, 2009 Share Posted January 17, 2009 Is there any particular reason that the GTA NeXt and Chinatown Wars board do not have led-bys? GTA NeXt is quite a popular board, and I spend a lot of time on there. I constantly see duplicate threads and pointless spam that could be sorted out by a led-by. I try my best to report all these threads, but I have no idea who they go to. Chinatown Wars is also going to be released in two months. That means the forum is going to be flooded with an influx of new members. Chinatown Wars, for many, is going to the be first place they head. Surely hiring a led-by for that section would help it from turning to total anarchy upon release date? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Girish Posted January 17, 2009 Share Posted January 17, 2009 I see only a handful of locked topics in the CW forum and it doesn't seem as active as some of the other forums. It can do without a ledby for now. If activity in there suddenly booms after release, then the staff can think about appointing someone. NeXt, on the other hand, should have a ledby. It's more active than the CW forum with quite a few unnecessary topics being created. I believe the staff is thinking along the same lines too. GammaRaptor Posted January 18, 2009 Share Posted January 18, 2009 (edited) It would be handy to have a ledby for CW now actually since the game will be released in march and you know threads and whatnot might get out of hand and cause havoc in that section in the end that section will go from havoc to a clean and not so screwed up section. But next should have a ledby someone new and someone with forum led by experience. In the end its up to the staff to decide... I'm sure that anyone of us could be potential candidates to be a led by. I may be new here but i report things and i don't care were they go as long the thread or post is gone. I'm sure other fellow members do the same thing i do. Mainland Marauder Posted January 18, 2009 Share Posted January 18, 2009 I'll give this recent crop of members credit in that the NeXt forum isn't anywhere near the same depths of the spam/flamefest that the NeXt section leading up to GTA4. It's there, but nowhere close to what I've seen before. The redundant topics tend to get reported, and I've seen XComm in particular a fair bit in there both just to post and to do cleanup. Basically looking after his old led-by turf. If it picks up I'm sure these sort of things will get considered. If this supposed new followup to IV gains a little more credibility I'd expect NeXt to get a lot busier. As for CW, there are some in that section right now who swear that's where the new action's going to be when it comes out, but for now it's not all that cracking. We'll see if they're right... I'd choose him I really doubt that, I'm guessing CW will get less than LCS/VCS did since its exclusive to DS. I don't even know anyone anymore with a DS.
