But I believe that there will be a big baseball stadium built for the Liberty City Swingers in the DLC. Here`s why; 1. There`s a Liberty Tree article about the Swingers going on strike because they want a new stadium with corporate boxes. 2. There`s a radio report about them getting the funds to build a new stadium near the end of the game. 3. The unsupported rumours that came out of the VGAs saying there will be a new arena for multiplayer that will be accessible in single player. I know these articles and news reports could have been added to give colour to the game, but let`s suppose that it`s true. Now then, I want you to give me the location of the new stadium. But not just the new stadium, I want you to give me the location of the batters box (street name) and the direction from there to second base. For example, Middle Park the fountain, north. Anyway, as for the original question, if there is going to be a stadium, I'd say it would probably be in that park in the Boulevard area of Bohan in the park with the small lake, or in a space in Meadows Park (probably the area to the left of the Pavilion Towers). Though the Charge island one is more like a peewee field for kids lol, and even Bohan one isn't very big.. And I`ve also heard Love Fist might be appearing in a DLC. The two stadiums at the moment are only little league grounds. But please, have a guess. And you will know that time has moved on from the end of Nikos` story It would be a bit like the mission "Romans Sorrow", DAMN, that`s why R* put him in the boot of his taxi , so that you started the mission from that point. It`s quite possible his story could be longer and yet gameplay could be shorter,the two don`t nessesarily have to match. Everyone plays the game at a different pace anyway, it takes (game)weeks to get Stevies cars and those can be done before or after Niko kills Pegorino and Dmitri , so where does that place those events on a timeline? anywhere you want them to be I suppose. They mention America (Rockstar) going to war with Australia, and I think they say something about them being pussies or weak (referring to their censorship). It will most likey be a upgrade of the one in Bohan that says Swingers all over the place. But then again, maybe the staduim is for the Liberty Penetrators. Major League Baseball. Mets- Citi Field ( New Stadium. ) Yankees- New Yankee stadium ( New stadium. ) Old MLB Stadiums Shea, Yankee stadium. Minor League baseball Stadiums. Cyclones Field. - Brookyln Cyclones ( Mets Minor league team. ) Ballpark at St-George. ( Staten Island Yankees, Yankees farm team. ) Shea Stadium/ Citi field are located in Flushing queens. In the game they would be located in the flushing meadows park in dukes, and would be next to the tennis fields. ( There is a baseball stadium in this location, but it is not a stadium. ) Yankee stadium- Bronx. Brooklyn Cyclones- Brooklyn near coney island. Would be located in broker, next to the amusement park, and near the first safe house and beach. Ball park at St George- Is in the only borough of NYC not included in game. ( Staten Island. ) Now one thing, there is a baseball field in Bronx and Queens that would be locations for Yankee stadium/ Citi field. But they aren't actual stadiums or modeled after them. Did rockstar do this because they know that after last year those stadiums would be demolished? Thus making the game dated. StudioVink Posted January 21, 2009 Share Posted January 21, 2009 Well, in GTA3 there was a stadium in LC, so why not bring a new one back into LC of GTA IV. It would be a cool upgrade for the game if the DLC changes the city along with it. If there is going to be a stadium, I'm guessing it's going to be south in Algonquin. They`ve also put a link on their map in the area where meadows park is. The new content also says you can buy season tickets for the skyboxes. I see no skyboxes in meadows park so I`m hoping they`ve put a stadium in one of the DLCs. Also, the newspapers on the floor in the Alderney safehouse are running a "win tickets to the world series" competition. I can`t imagine they`d go to all this trouble, making all these baseball references for what is only a little league baseball field. As the film The Warriors was set in NY and R* made a game on the warriors, which is a personal favourite of mine.
