Because he dies there, and of course everything we always hear from Lance is about that moment "My dead brothers white woman (his coke)" etc! Let's face it, there's hardly a model of consistency between VC and VCS. For example:- In VC, Lazlo claims he's only been in VC for a few months. Yet he was there 3 years ago in VCS. Also, when Cousin Eddie rings Lazlo on air in VC, he doesn't sound anything like the Cousin Eddie from VCS. In fact, he doesn't sound like he even knows Lazlo at all. The Dirt bike track is completely different. Vic's mansion is completely missing, being replaced by what appears to be a string of housing commission dog's boxes, and while Lance's mansion is still there, it's garage is missing. There are numerous other inconsistencies between the 2 games, like missing piers, stair cases, and entire buildings. So any argument based on an inconsistency such as this if flimsy at best. IMO, R* just stuffed up. It's probably something as simple as the guy who wrote the script/storyline about the 2 brothers not communicating that to the guy who programmed the voice of the mystery brother. Add to that the fact that they didn't foresee VCS when they made VC. That's obviously the reason for all the other inconsistencies, so I see no reason why it wouldn't be the reason for this one. PS. All that was to make gamers enjoy the game more, not to make connections. VCS is so different to VC compared to III and LCS. I mean in LCS we get to see reasons why III was the way it was, with all stuff connected. In VCS, R* created more mysterious stuff than make more links. One being that we played as a character we had never seen before. I say it again, it wasn't Vic Vance, he despised drugs with his heart and many more reasons. And about the white lady - that is Jive Talk for Coke, kid. Lance was talking about coke, not Louise. That was Vic, man. It really was... Look at the helicopter, and Lance is flying it. And his brother is doing the deal. And it is Vic. Don't hit me with " but that guys fat" - you saw Tony's massive gain between LCS and III, and they probably only did that because they already knew Vic would change appearance greatly as well. That website is bogus and the police can mistake anything, the fact it was mentioned during the time VCS was released gives me more reasons. And what are you talking about regarding models? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. His model looks nothing like VC. His BETA model looks nothing like the VC Hawaii guy, besides BETA models are always low quality. You are so easy to please so I will never ever trust your word for anything. And chngdman: Really nobody mentioned ANY of these things. It was Vic Vance? Really? Do you have any way to prove it other than saying it is simply him. And about the white lady..... No one has said otherwise to start with! Look at the helicopter? Your point being? What is with the heli, and Vic doing the deal? Since when? In VCS he never did deals and if so, then he was only as a backup to save Lance from the trouble he always gets to. Fat guys thing? His headsize has changed considerably including his eyes, I know weight can increase but not this. And appearance is not the main reason I would use in this point. In short: Vic didn't die. Head of Vance Crime Family. Only two members." Lance's bio says "Arrived in town with his brother." It's not about being "easy to please". That's a very logical thing to consider and a very good piece of evidence against all these wild claims. Plus many interviews mentioned how the stories games used protagonists that had appeared as minor characters before, because they are essentially revisiting the cities. Makes sense to use existing characters. I mean, wow, his voice changed. So did Toni's. His appearance changed. So did Toni's. Both within the space of 2-3 years. His VCS beta model does resemble a slightly altered version model in Vice City. They probably cleaned him up because the character was a tertiary character and didn't have as much detail as a protagonist should (going by what they've been saying for GTA IV). His artwork looks barely like him, but it's still him. Plus some people have even cleaned up the VC model and stuck Vic's clothes on it and it looks extremely similar to his VCS appearance him. His personality? They made Lance into an absolute moronic buffoon in VCS. In VC he's completely different. No reason why Vic can't change his tune either. Throughout VCS Vic is always saying how he hates doing things and doesn't want to do them anymore, but he still goes ahead and does it anyway. He dies. You don't like it? Boo hoo. You can simply ignore it (recommended), or you can delude yourself with crazy theories (not recommended). Besides, as of GTA IV they are all dead anyway... so everyone really needs to get over it. And yeah, we can simply say Lance and his brother have arrived, however we don't know who the other is and since Vic is former runner of the town, the police will think it's him who's there along with Lance and they add him to the police record. Simple. Not only his voice changed, but his personality did as well, I mean he sounded a lot like he was suffering from asthma or some kind which is the case with Pete. (Toni was serious in both LCS and III, but a bit more sarcastic in LCS since that's how it is when you're younger) And logical? LOL, at least search for some info deeper rather than looking at the slightest thing related to it. The Stories games are to look at the cities a couple of years before their major appearance (VC/III). With LCS we fixed all the holes such as why is the construction site like that and why no motorcycles. In VCS we got MORE plot-holes, like air ambulance's appearing only for a period of time and not existing in the later rendition as well as many other changes. Modding stuff don't relate to this theory so don't bring it up. Either way, the clothes fit his body because the size doesn't change much compared to Toni (in 3 years). Personality? Lance gets more serious in VC because his brother (we don't know who) dies and things are getting worse so there is nothing he can be happy about. Vic does the things he hate because he has no choice, look when he's got the money, he refuses to do any drug deals for his own sake (Sure he does it for his bosses like Diaz but only for some money and protection against the Mendez brothers.) And in VC the brother is VERY willing on the deal whereas in VCS, Vic told Lance to never ever drive/fly again, but in VC it's the opposite? Why does this happen? He doesn't die. You don't like it? Boo hoo. You can simply ignore it (recommended), or you can delude yourself with crazy theories (not recommended). And the fact you believe in that stupid graffiti in GTA4 as source the characters are dead, makes me not take what you say seriously anymore. I mean THIS is what I call "easy to please". Oh please.... FnB, What that hell are you on about? First you argue that Vic hates drugs, which is obviously a meaningless point as it certainly didn't stop him from being involved in the past. Then you argue that the brother in VC sounded like he'd had asthma? What does someone suffering from asthma sound like when they're not having an attack? As an asthmatic, I can tell you they sound just like everyone else. Face it, you're argument is weak, so weak that you can't make any definitive statements about who the brother in VC is. R* never said who it is and there are possibilities to see it from both sides. I personally hint more for the Pete sides because I see more possibilities on there but it's just speculating.
