heat84
If youre using a Celeron CPU, your gonna have to get whole new system. You need at least a dual core CPU to play the game(I've read around here that people have been able to play it with single core CPU's, but none of them had a Celeron CPU). The RAM you already have won't be compatible with a multicore CPU motherboard(I don't think). I'm betting your GPU is AGP. There's probably a few multicore motherboards that have AGP slots but you'd be limiting yourself with other feature choices if you get one of those boards. I had an 8400 GS and upgraded to a 9600GT 1GB and it made a big difference. Since you're gonna have to upgrade everything else, you might as well upgrade your GPU too. You might as well get a quad core CPU. They're only 30 dollars or so more than a dual-core. If you're patient (and rich) you can wait for the next generation of CPU's (Phenom II and whatever Intel is making to compete with that). Apparently the Phenom II will be released in the next 6 months.
UndeadDevil
800Mhz FSB = LGA775 Motherboard, thus you can simply grab a Core 2 Duo and play the game.
chngdman
If your mobo will do 1066FSb, it would be worth it to get an e6320, It's what I have, 1.86ghz, runs great. Even at 800mhz, the next level down is worth it. Make sure your mobo supports your chip of choice: http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/ 8600gt + vista (together at least) might play slow. I have an HD3850 (considerably more powerful) I got 1-5 fps on vista, back on XP now and I get my usual 30+ FPS
