JuicyFruitSweeT Posted January 17, 2009 Share Posted January 17, 2009 Ok so I overclocked my GeForce 9400 GT 1Gb graphics card core clock was from 550 to 700 now shader clock was from 1375 to 1750 memory clock was from 400 to 430 WOW man the game run nicely I also PWN many ppl too Another think I did was turned my 2Gb USB Flash into a RAM using ReadyBoost man game load faster and woot WOOT I am so happy and I feel sorry for those out there still cant play LOL! If I get my drivers from EVGA's site, I can get maybe 1-2 fps, but smoother gameplay. As soon as nvidia fixes it's drivers to better satisfy all the hardware they sell, this game will play a thousand times better. They just don't work on all brands. So I find it best to go to the site associate most to the box, if they don't have drivers on their site so they redirect you to nvidia's website, pull out the original disk that came with the card and try those drivers. Forever I have used pcpitstop to do my benchmarking, it's light weight fast and covers many areas. When I get a good score, I head to a game I know by heart. GTAIII. It has always been my bench. I just installed Tiny Vista by Experience and it stopped the stupid stuttering that Xp does. I gained three fps in play mode (fraps) and 7 fps in benchmark. Also in benchmark on xp was using up my resources pretty poorly. on Xp CPU Usage: 88% System memory usage: 48% Video memory usage: 95% on tinyvista CPU Usage: 88% System memory usage: 45% Video memory usage: 66% Cpu usage didn't change, system mem changed a tad bit. but video mem changed dramatically. To a newb that would mean I can crank settings up a tad more. but really I would prefer to keep my gear running cool and smooth, so I'm not changing a thing. I might work on cooling a tad. EDIT Crap I clicked the wrong link and posted this. Well. Overclocking never did a super bunch for me.. fine tuning always has done the most.
