Kiabbo
Hey, you can play IV with a E2180 and with a HD3870, and play Crysis on Jungle Map, one of the most beautiful and photorealistics maps on Crysis. But, come on, you are not going to play it on 1951651x5165156 and ultra boost godlike high. Problably IV on medium x medium and with the MonkeyMhz help > http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=384473... Im finally getting my new card on monday( THANKS GOD AFTER 2 YEARS I HAVE ENOUGH MONEY ) and I'll be happy playing on medium or low settings. Look at that > http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=dOgwoR_m7hg And you MUST change your card. It's 256mb and just GDDR2. Even a HD3870 512mb it's better - 256bits GDDR4... Well, it's your choice. I recommend you buy the C2D with 3.0GHz ( 6.0GHz total ) and a HD4850, HD3870 or 8800GT. See ya

eagle016
With this CPU and GPU you should be glad you got 21 FPS. Your CPU is below minimum requirements. No Graphic Card was not Minium and not Recommended,it was on medium RAM 2 GB was recommended as i read in read me Processor-Not recommended and not minium,it's very bad, does anyone know how can i overclock it Your problem is the pile of crap you call a gaming PC ... especially for GTA 4. You need a MINIMUM Q processor and 3GB and a decent video card ... you dont have nothing. ^^ not everyone has 100s or 1000s of dollars to spend of hardcore gaming PCs. That doesn't mean that the guy doesn't have a bad gaming PC and that he needs a Quad core, 3-4GB RAM and a 768MB+ GPU. The main point of the guys statement is that this guy doesn't have a good gaming PC, not even at minimum requirements, and should be happy he gets 21fps. Benevolent
Am new to this forum, but just wanted to add my forty pence worth to the discussion. I bought a new pc a week ago and it arrived today - the Chillblast Fusion Osiris, as per this link, albeit with a couple of modifications (changed the motherboard and added extra psu and cooling, but everything else the same) http://www.chillblast.com/product.php?prod...04&cat=0&page=1 Installed GTAIV this afternoon, full of advanced fear based on what I'd read about the game, but I have to say it runs sweetly at the automatically detected settings (mostly medium across the board). Fraps shows average FPS of around 30, often more like 35. which might seem low but doesn't when you're playing. In fact, rather the opposite - its smooth and slidey and fun all the way. Sure, the installation is a right ball-ache and there's the odd glitch in textures now and then, but nothing that gets in the way of the game mechanics and the truly immersive, living and breathing nature of the iconic city Rockstar have created. I can understand and appreciate that others with different specs have had a multitude of issues, ranging from the minor to the spectacular, and from that point of view I guess Rockstar should have invested more time and expertise in their transfer from the consoles, but I can only speak for myself when I say this game is a masterpiece of storytelling, open world freedom and a graphic design that regularly leaves me slack-jawed in awe. And I do wonder whether some of the carping about not being able to run it with everything maxed out is a little bit sour grapes from those who think their machine should kick ass at whatever they throw at it. Sure, its got to hurt when you've spent so much on a piece of kit only to find its gonna need even more cash sinking into it (especially in these times), but thats PCs for ya. If you always appeal to the lowest common demoninator, you'll go the way of the X Box and PS3 crowd and you'll never see much innovation and envelope-pushing. Funnily enough, its the first GTA game I've played in any format since I was addicted to Vice City on my ancient PC years ago. To place the two side by side is to really see how far technology and gaming has come. Which is either comforting or scary, I don't know. Ultimately, I've no hesitations in recommending this to anyone who has a machine that can play it. That might seem like a truism and damning the game with faint praise, but its not meant that way. Its a classic, and it gets my two thumbs up. Having said all that, I bet it crashes and lags like buggery on me tomorrow. divertiti
Hello everyone I bought GTA IV 2-3 days ago Now my problem is... When i playing GTA IV i got 21 FPS Here is my PC specs WINDOWS XP-VISTA ULTIMATE THEME(SERVICE PACK 3) GRAPHIC CARD-NVIDIA 8600 GT(256 MB,OVERCLOCKED) RAM-2 GB PROCESSOR-DUAL CORE 1.6 I dont know what is it,always low FPS,but in houses it was much better Can someone help me!? HAHAHAHAHA, this guy is f*cking hilarious, it's like Borat, but in real life. "VISTA ULTIMATE THEME" hahahaha News flash buddy, your "good pc specs" is absolutely horrible, stick to games you can run, and try to read about the requirements before you buy a game....or a PC for that matter. Woodee
what is the point of people asking for help if all others are gonna do is shoot them down and make fun of them? ... makes you feel manly does it? I am running on a Q9300 @ 2.50 Ghz on Win XP Pro SP3 with 3.25 gb ram. 8800 GT with 181.x drivers. GTA IV doesn't run that great for me... I run it at the native res of my monitor (1920 x 1200) otherwise it blurs all over the place. It is not smooth gameplay, but playable. I did expect a bit more from running a quad core system, but hey ho... cool game
